They're gay men in drag not trans.
Actually there was a heterosexual man who competed on a season of Drag Race.
I stand corrected.
To be totally correct, there are some trans women in Drag Race. Out of all the locations in the franchise, there have been maybe a dozen or so. There has also been one trans winner. Out of about 20 America seasons with 12 girls per season. So that gives you an idea. It is still a small fraction of the competitors

Support for trans and gay people is a good thing. They have difficult lives.

So I finally watched the episode and it was a little cringe. Mainly because of the flirting. LOL. It threw me out of my element but it seemed to mean a lot to the queens. Those from other parts of the world being able to see an accepting leader, was a big deal.

I wish he was more authentic though because the symbolism meant something to these queens and you know it was just attention seeking behaviour for him.

I haven’t seen the episode but overall I still think it’s good to see the PM showing acceptance and support for the gay/trans community.

As far as his performance goes, that just sounds like how JT often comes off. He’s a politician and he sometimes seems like he is choosing his words very carefully and performing. I think JT’s critics tend to find this trait infuriating…but that’s just how he is imho. For better or worse, it seems to work for him.

Its funny, but I always hear school teacher, not politician. He speaks publicly in the careful, slow language and tone some teachers use for kids.

Only fitting considering what a shithole his father's policies have turned Canada into.

Quite right. Regrettably i think his appearance has more to do with his own ego and quest for celebrity than it does with support for LBGQT+ etc.

He's a narcissist through and through.

His team has done a tremendous job of branding him though. Bravo to Gerald Butts and crew.

And of course the legacy media loves him and he's always prepared for the softballs they lob in there for him.
