The police could easily have put some obstructions in front of the front wheels and behind the back wheels of the car while the guy was asleep before taking any further action.

...and easily do the vulcan nerve pinch to incapacitate him right? Crazy what the police refuse to do in the moment.

No. This was an unjustified shooting. There were sooo many solutions.

- They could have laid a spike trap to destroy the tires.
- They could have put up some obstruction.
- They could have boot locked the tires like they do when you are parked wrong.
- They could have called in a tow vehicle and hitched the car to it.
- They could have shot or slit the tires.
- They could have grabbed the keys first as they grabbed the victim.
- When the guy was in the car, he could have fired a warning shot.
- They could have let him go, noted the license plate and caught him later.

He also talks about shooting tires, and a laundry list of things that would take time and utilize unnecessary resources. Just another Hollywood watcher with no real life applied knowledge of law enforcement.

What kind of piece of shit steals a car, resists arrest from multiple officers, then attempts to flee in the stolen vehicle with an officer in it.

He endangered the lives of all officers involved. Under the threat of serious bodily harm or death, an officer is justified to use lethal force.

If the officer ended up getting seriously injured or dying in a car crash, the naysayers would turn around and say "why didn't he shoot the guy, what an idiot!"

Yeah license plate on a stolen vehicle. You would need that to find said stolen vehicle. So where you find the stolen vehicle, you'd find the thief. Try it. It is called logic.

Yeah you would know all about real life law enforcement because you named yourself after a fictional hollywood cop. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I know self awareness is not your strong suit.

Go back to watching Lethal Weapon so you can share some more great insights.
I dont like out of control cops like Dirty Harry, Martin Riggs or that pig in the back of that car who shot an unarmed man instead of using his fucking brain.

I argue that the thief certainly was out of control. The thief stole a vehicle, failed to comply to legal commands, and sped off endangering himself, the cops, and innocent citizens.

The thief was sleeping, got startled and saw a bunch of cops and as a black man, freaked the fuck out. There were other ways of getting him to stop, as I had mentioned in a previous post. A simple spike strip would have disabled the car pretty fast.

Waking up to a bunch of cops is startling to thieves of all colors, and rightfully so. This usually results in the thief raising his hands, following direction, and being arrested.

No need for spikes, tow trucks, and random gunshots in the air.

It's a shame that the thief caused a simple arrest to go sideways. The silver lining is that he did win the Darwin award.

I'm trying hard to comprehend said logic but am severely failing to do so....

This is a legit shooting.......That car had been weaponized the moment he took off with the officer.

When the police officers had multiple options to apprehend the perp and the guy resorted to shooting him in the back, I dont agree it was legit.
