Next Door
Finding my cooler jammed to the nines with crap I didn't order, a work crew tearing up my work area to install equipment I don't want, and the vice president of the company coming for a visit....Oh wait, that's tomorrow.

I do not handle frustration well. And what gets me most frustrated is when people do not do what they said they would do, or when they are rude for no reason.

When that happens, I get angry, my blood pressure rises and I just want to start inflicting mayhem.

Fortunately, I live a fairly quiet life now, and experience few situations where this happens. And, fortunately, as I age, I am better able to handle frustration.

I had one example... I went into a day clinic in Toronto and saw a waiting room with about 60 people waiting. I went to the counter and the woman there did not even bother to look at me, but simply demanded my health card. When I asked how long the wait would be, she still did not look at me and snapped her reply, that it would be about 1 1/2 hours wait time.

I replied that I could not wait that long to which she replied indifferently, " ok" and she continued looking at the computer monitor.

Its that kind of careless indifference and rudeness that gets my goat. I wanted to reach through the window and grab her by the throat.... but I didn't... in stead I left and went to another clinic where I got in to see the doctor in about 5 minutes.

Stress is a killer, and as I age I slowly learn to let things go....

Between a rock and a hard place
Irresponsible parents. I see them in public every day. They let their kids wander in parking lots. Leave them unattended in grocery stores. Let them eat any crap they want. Set no boundaries then publically admonish them for acting out. Tie their tubes already!

I would be put off by her attitude as well...But working in retail, I also know what it's like to deal with people all day, so I've developed a bit of sympathy for people in that sort of position. You don't know what kind of day she's been having, or what kind of arse holes she's been having to deal with all day. Neither do I, but I've had those days.
