At a SP near me
I was so looking forward to getting back on the horse so to speak. Pre-booked an SP who has been on my TDL for a while. It is my birthday today and was going to treat myself. Thought about the whole Covid situation the last couple of days and when it came time to confirm my appointment this morning, I made a game day decision to cancel. I just couldn’t go through with the uncertainty and potential risk of catching Covid.

Am I over thinking this?

You have 364 more days to celebrate with a belated gift to yourself. Your head (the right one, lol) wasn't into the session today and would have impacted your enjoyment of the session if you actually went through with it. You have a lifetime of visiting SP's again when you're comfortable to start once more.

By the way Happy Birthday. Hopefully you take the funds you were going to spend today and spend them on something nice for yourself otherwise.

Good for you, Oak. We’ll get through this. No need to do something that’s gonna make you feel afraid, irresponsible or guilty not to mention possibly sick. Everyone can decide for themselves. Today that’s your decision. Mine might be different.
Happy birthday!

Exactly my thoughts bro. Yesterday, I and a couple of my mates went out for drinks. Guess what? I couldn't feel safe with them not wearing a mask, therefore I have been nervous the whole time and went back home unsatisfied. I am really 'thirsty' atm, but not sure if all the precautions have been taken by agencies.

I didn’t think the Mods wanted any threads on COVID, pro or con. If it is allowed, please move this non-review to the Lounge section where it belongs.

No you are not over thinking it. You are actual being rational. I am also going through the same emotions as you about the industry and don't feel comfortable to book yet. Some of the issues I think about are (i) no agencies are doing temperature check as a low-end screening method, (ii) agencies prices have remained the same while service levels is now a subjective matter that doesn't have any transparency.

Same here. I used to hobby 2-4 times pre-covid and haven't gone out yet. Part of the reason to is that I'm working from home now and most of my regulars are no longer on the schedule.

Quite the conundrum isn't it?

I did see a few of my regulars (former/current agency girls not publicly working) a couple weeks ago and as great as it was, I think I'm done until there's a vaccine. It's too widespread and just too many consequences if you catch it.

Good decision to cancel, stay safe. I am aching to see my regular SP, but have to refrain due to fact that I'm in the older demographic of gen pop, also I have a family member under same roof that has a suppressed immune system, can't risk infecting them.

Thanks from all the feedback. Makes me feel a lot better about not going ahead with my session. There’s the FOMO effect as I can see more activity and posts on the board with reviews and discussion but I am going to stay away for a while.

I would like to see how this transpires now. My regulars are mostly middle aged or over 50. As much as I’d love to see them,I don’t want to do anything too soon that would jeopardize their health/wellbeing or mine too. Just glad they are enforcing masks for indoor locations. Plus I’ve been able to put my focus on my other business.
I’m definitely in the over 50 category and want to live for a long while. Lol.
