Top 100, based on what? Charting? Sales. Rick Mercer's opinion? Certainly not critical opinion.

Summer of '69 (or any other song by Bryan Adams) wouldn't make my top 1,000. Blecchhh to Bryan Adams. LOL.

Only one song each by Joni Mitchell and The Band, invalidates this list for me. The 5 Neil Young songs is a bare minimum for him.

Bryan Adams is too saccharine to be No. 1 and Justin Biber is a dickcheese.

The Umbrella Academy is hardcore Canadian: it should have been obvious with Elliot Page and Colm Fiore as the leads. Massey Hall has shown up quite a bit in the series.

They did a dance number to an obscure by totally charming Canadian song.

Great choice in my books.

Although The Weight is their best known song, I love this one by The Band. It's not the album version but it's great watching them perform live.

And of the 5 Neil Young songs they listed, Down By the River is better, as is Cowgirl In the Sand and how could Southern Man possibly not make the list.
