Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do...

Henein produced an email in court Friday that DeCoutere sent Ghomeshi on July 5, 2003, a day after the alleged assault. It read: “You kicked my ass last night and that makes me want to fuck your brain out. Tonight.”

Another letter she wrote to Ghomeshi read: “Jian you are great. I want to have more fun times with you . . . . I am sad we didn’t spend the night together.”
DeCoutere read the letter’s sign off at the request of Henein. It said: “I love your hands, Lucy.”

In another email sent on July 17, 2003, 13 days after the alleged assault, DeCoutere wrote to Ghomeshi: “I think you are magic and would love to see you.”

Earlier in the trial, Henein produced an email from Nov. 24, 2003, after the Gemini Awards where DeCoutere alleges Ghomeshi once again placed his hand on her throat.
The email’s subject line was “brace yourself” and the message read: “I’m in town and am gonna call your cellphone and ask you to play me with me . . . in a manner of speaking . . . so you have fair warning.”

Henein produced another email, sent around the time that read: “how busy are you gonna be in banff? i wanna play with you.” And another, stating: “wanna go for a hike? pims on the terrace? chance encounter in the broom closet?”
Vinny LaGuardia Gambini would say "I'm done with her"

Now it's entirely possible JG did grab her throat and slap DeCoutere's face without her consent. But we don't know because we weren't there. We also don't know what JG's response was to emails she sent. Whatever happened, it sounds like she wanted to have sex with but from what I gather he wasn't interested in her. I don't believe they ever had sex but from the sounds of it, she sure wanted to.

Now when he becomes a bigger star and perhaps has no interest in her, it could be she becomes vengeful. When rumours of other women being assaulted by JG surface, DeCoutere does 9 media interviews before going to the police.

Then there's her comments like “I want him fucking decimated" “The guy’s a shit show; time to flush." “He’s walked the line so long, all the while becoming more famous….”

Make me wonder what her motives really are.

I think everyone figured JG was done. Slam dunk. Not looking so cut and dried now.

Life lesson #2: Keep every email, text, phone recording, videos, photos, letters, etc. of every woman you have ever encountered. It might keep your ass out of jail one day.

The trial has nothing to do with the investigation into workplace harassment. Again, this is typical of you, you have been provided the evidence you asked for and now you are just denying it. Your views are totally disconnected from reality.

The trial relates to allegations of sexual assault and has nothing to do with harassment in the workplace
One of the accuser's name is under a publication ban and is rumored to work at the CBC

Agreed.

I was involved in a 'termination with cause' situation in the past where an '3rd party consultant' provided an 'analysis' that was rife with inaccuracies and blatant opinion.
My former employer took this report as 'gospel' and acted accordingly. Myself and my lawyer disagreed... and eventually so did a pre-trial judge.

foolji's claims that these 'investigations' are bullet-proof from an internal policy perspective are (like him) ludicrous, especially when the target is rarely (if ever) given an opportunity to challenge the 'findings' before legal proceedings commence.
In my situation, I originally wondered why they were so secretive and wouldn't answer any of my questions. Once suit was filed, it all made sense. I saw this 'report' and LOLed.
I love how foogoo ignores posts he cannot possibly defend!!!

Ghomeshi is not on trial for creating a hostile work environment. He was not terminated for sexual assault. The trial is only incidentally related. Even if some of the accusers are the same.

That doesnt matter, because if Ghomeshi is exonerated from this trial he can then go back to the CBC and say look, the same girl who lied in court is the same girl who got the ball rolling against me with false sexual harrassment allegations.

So unless CBC has more "evidence" then he said/ she said Ghomeshi had a strong case against the CBC

Agreed.

I thought that the first witness was bad, this one is even worse. I didn't think that was possible.

Lucy DeCoutere comes across as a nutcase frankly. Her story just doesn't jibe. Not one bit. I can't fathom how she says she was so devastated when these other come-on emails from her and a love letter come to light. Crossing her was like shooting fish in a barrel for Henein.

I think the crown has one more witness. So far, it's 2 balls and no strikes against Ghomeshi (as far as I'm concerned). Unless the crown has saved the best for last, the first 2 witnesses come across as a pair of jilted vindictive children.

I was thinking the same thing (because typically, I delete my emails and do not keep letters).

DeCoutere stated that on a tour of Ghomeshi's house that everything was neat and in order. His shirts were hung in the closet sorted by type and colour. Obviously, he's a little obsessive (and judging my his poor judgment, quite compulsive). But it just may save his ass.

Can't remember where I heard or read it, as I just skimmed over it, but the question was asked, "what is DeCoutere's motive in all of this?" and someone speculated that she craves the spotlight and WANTS the media attention.

Given today's implosion on the witness stand, a) there seems to be some credence to that angle, and b) she got her attention all right.

What was she stupid?

fucking drink much Lucy?

Another angle; does it really matter anymore if he is convicted or not? The damage is done in the court of public opinion.
Other celebs like Kobe Bryant and Ben Roethlisberger were accused. No one remembers or cares whether they were indicted, innocent or settled.
But in their obit, along with their accomplishments, there will note that they were accused of a sexual offense.
JG was a persistent dog and it caught up with him. He'll have to live with that the rest of his life.

Fucking right it matters whether he is convicted or not.

I don't know about you, but I have 0 desire to wind up in jail. Not ever, not even for a minute. I suspect Ghomeshi feels the same way. Not to mention the repercussions for the rest of his life as a convicted criminal.

I realize that his reputation has been destroyed and he's kryptonite, but, if he wiggles off the hook (and so far, it looks like he will), then perhaps he can rebuild some sort of life. I doubt he's ever going to work for the CBC again, but there's other possibilities. He could rebuild his reputation.

Public opinion practically crucified this guy over the last year. It's nice to see some facts arise from the dead.If he is found innocent, he should sue everyone his lawyers suggests and let them keep %90 of the award so they will go for jugular .Unless this third witness brings something heavy duty to the table he'll be found innocent.I can't wait to hear the chorus of cock-haters squealing"Now no one will report their rapes!!!!!"........

Really? You think that has no consequence? Where do you draw the line between JG and Cosby?

Except CBC interviewed nearly 100 people in confirming the story, not only one or two. Moreover even the behavior he has admitted to is grounds for termination.
No way he has a case.
