Some were caught, 6 IIRC, by LE when getaway car was involved in a traffic accident, but some got away.
When was this? Okay got it now
Police seemed to be on it fast..Good job.
Look forward to seeing who these suspects are.

It is one thing to know about it, it is another to actually see it.
This is why police and courts exist in all countries. Because crime is.
So…… we all know that. You ever think maybe you are just desensitized to crime? Maybe understand that others don’t see this everyday.
You guys ever seen 2 polar bears fucking outside of a McD's? Move waaaaay further up north in Canada and it's a norm. I'd be standing looking at it through the window eating fries going "Someone call the police, mahhh virgin eyesssss. Oh shit they forgot the sweet and sour sauce I paid extra for...again!!!"
I can't ever remember the level of theft and blatant disregard for the consequences as we are witnessing today in the GTA. Our justice system seems to want to give them all a hug and kick them right back out there to reoffend.

In all fairness, it is not a "justice" system. It is a legal system. One that has some flaws that make it possible for theses guys to get back on the street.
Yorkdale Mall gets stuff happen at times, but only certain things make the news. No different than local ma and pa jewelry stores in the GTA that get robbed during broad daylight. End of the day it's insurance rates that go up. And if things like this keep happening similar to what's been happening down in the States cause there's tons of footage on YT then stores will eventually close down. Walmart locks up tons of stuff now too, but at the end of the day the employee isn't allowed to do much due to legal reasons too. Things are just gonna get worse moving forward. Cost of food is already going up next year and so forth too.
That same jewellery store has been robbed at least 4-5 times

Agreed. I witnessed a smash-and-grab in 1995. I was less than 100 feet away from it. Three guys smashed the front window of a shop at dinnertime mid-week. You feel fear because 1.) you can't believe what you're seeing and 2) you don't know if they're going to suddenly become violent towards you or someone else.
This doesn't happen everyday mandy...not in this part of the GTA at least...it's like you're saying car theft didn't soar, it just happens...criminals have been emboldened lately...we can try not to put a political spin on this...I know y ou don't want to discuss this crimes happening under who's watch...fentanyl addiction, homeless problem, Immigration problem, crime rate, people wants change...
