The truth of it is that most Hollywood actress look pretty average without makeup.

Soft lighting and great makeup give them a smooth complexion. Get them in the natural sun without any foundation and all the pox and birth marks come to light.

Granted, there are some with great bone structure and are natural beauties, but there are prettier, and fitter women in Toronto on any given day.

"To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image."

The photos show Hewitt, with a bit of cellulite, on a Hawaii beach with her new fiance, Scottish actor Ross McCall.

Several sites posted the shots, along with some less-than-complimentary comments. TMZ.com, for example, said, "We know what you ate this summer, Love - everything!"

"A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be," Hewitt responded in a post Thursday. "And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful."

"What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles," says the star of TV's "Ghost Whisperer" and the film "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

"To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist," she wrote, "put on a bikini - put it on and stay strong."

The newly engaged Hewitt was snapped in her black two-piece swimsuit last week as she enjoyed a dip in the sea -- but the "Ghost Whisperer" star's larger-than-usual bottom soon became the subject of ridicule on many celebrity blogs.

And the 28-year-old is angry at all the unwanted attention focused on her backside, because although she is happy with her figure, it puts young girls under more pressure over their weight.

She is no longer the eye candy that she was 7 or 8 years ago so it's character roles for her now.

She never really did it for me when she was sans celulite but that's still better than Posh or Jenna Jamieson.
