Hate to leave a negative review especially for someone (@jackie.gilcrest ) who clearly has a history of good experiences. My review isn’t on my experience with her face-to-face. I’m sure she is a good provider in that respect.

My experience is rather when attempting to book her. I have tried on three separate occasions to book her. I took the time to read her website, to communicate a nice introduction, I have great references, shared my personal information and did not say anything that would warrant being ignored. Despite this, I did not get a response all three times (months apart). I assumed she was just busy the first time (which is reasonable), so i let some time pass and tried her again the second time, then the 3rd time was shortly after she was advertising on TERB that she had availability and the message was marked as read.

I find it disappointing and unfortunate that people trust her enough to send their personal information for screening, only to be ignored after they do so. I can’t help but to think it’s because of my race (which isn’t transparently indicated anywhere on her website as a restriction). Perhaps that’s not the case but ignoring an otherwise suitable client doesn’t add up.

I find the experience I have had trying to book her extremely disappointing. So this is clearly not for those who have had good experiences with her to date but for anyone (minority) considering booking her, in the future. It’s simply a warning that you may be giving out your personal information wastefully to someone who will outright ignore you and you won’t know why.

I am not doing this to ruin her otherwise good reputation, I am simply fed up with the racist behaviour of not taking black clients in Ottawa. It’s flat out racist, and yes companions can select whomever they want (that’s the typical straw-man response) but it doesn’t make it any less racist of a decision.

You're absolutely right. I am definitely speculating about the race thing. It's just that when you know it's not her being busy and the message was written in a way where there was no other distinguishing information or characteristics other than that of my race. One can deduce that it is a strong possibility.

First of all, I am very sorry for your experiences with racism in the context of seeing providers. That has to be disheartening to say the least. I am well-aware that unfortunately, many providers implement a “no black gents” policy, which I don’t agree with. I don’t have such a policy.

I have seen many minority clients over the years. I don’t have any text messages with anyone explicitly mentioning they were black recently that I can think of. Ethnicity is never a reason I ignore inquiries.

I can guarantee that I do answer attractive inquiries promptly. Suffice it to say that your inquiry didn’t blow my hair back the way you thought it might. I have 9 years of experience working with men in SW and am apt at identifying high-quality inquiries. I suspect this man has not sucked a single dick professionally in his life, and thus has no frame of reference for what constitutes a high quality inquiry…

Most importantly of all: I am a human being and reserve the right to ignore any inquiry that I don’t want to respond to. No matter how polite it is. Unfortunately, you are never entitled to a response.

This isn’t racism or unprofessionalism on my part. Unfortunately it’s just a case of the sour grapes. I’m not obligated to answer every Tom, Dick, and Harry who messages me…
