I always thought he was overrated. I always thought he was a poor GM. But I never thought that he was an asshole until now. I was prepared to take Ernie Whitt's comments as sour grapes and give J.P. the benefit of the doubt but after hearing J.P.'s comments today on SportsNet about Ernie Whitt I now have no doubt. J.P. Riccardi is an idiot. I have zero respect for him now as a human being. Do us all a favour J.P. and quit.

I agree! JP has always in my opinion made very questionable decision with the team, he really never saids the right things at the time to cool off pressure for the team, and the things he has been saying of recent shows what a dumb ass he really is. JP will be fired by the end of the season (hopefully sooner), Godfrey is calling all the shots now and JP is just in his office counting all of his pennies and hoping he can afford to retire cause he won't be back in the majors as a GM.

I think they did Ernie a favor by not making him manager. I think they need a more proven guy like Cito. If Cito fails to turn the team around the players/G.M. will take the heat, if Ernie failed he might have had to take the heat for his inexperience at the major league level.

I agreed with the signing of Eckstein and the trade for Rolen, I thought they were good moves. I didn't like the waiving of Reed Johnson and the signing of Shannon Stewart. And I certainly didn't like what they did to Frank Thomas. Frank was right in what he said. Ever notice that since Frank Thomas has gone Rios has been hitting like crap. Thomas' presence provided protection in the lineup, even if he wasn't hitting well.
I believe the time has come for the Blue Jays to terminate JP and chart a new direction for this club.
