I've never met a Taylor Swift fan in my life.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when your reach is millions and in Taylor's tens of millions, it's probably best to stick to entertaining and not influencing.
To be fair, I don't think it's on them to stick to their lane. It's moreso on their fans to not be idiots. No one should be trusting the opinions of what is effectively a complete stranger to them, because they don't understand the motivations behind that person's words. The pseudo relationship between celebs and their fans is a dangerous thing, and it's contingent on the fans to realize that, IMO.

Agreed and I never understood how adults fall backwards over celebs. My views are similar to what was posted in regards I'd just keep to myself than interrupting someone. There might be the odd person who's work I highly enjoyed so I might kindly approach them and let them know how great they are, but otherwise I focus on myself. People should vote for a candidate based on the party's belief and opinions aligning with theirs. I've never been influenced by someone supporting a certain issue on hand. Celebs are no different than any other human and have their own flaws and issues they deal with. Some fans perhaps are easily marketed since they get influenced easily. I tend to think analytically, ask questions and do some research.

When your lane is tens of millions of people wide, that's a lot of influence. I think the inverse is true, it's on THEM to know it's best not to say anything because of its magnitude, unless of course they decide to run for office or become a priest/nun/rabbi/teacher, etc.

Nice to see the Toronto police force was wasting tax payers money by giving her and her entourage a police escort from the airport to downtown today.

A police escort like that would be paid by her, would it not?

With cops that would have been off duty. Happens when many events.

I know churches that hire police to assist in letting cars out of the parking lot at the end of service.

Sounds like bitching simply for the sake of bitching. LOL

One of her concert venues in Europe was threatened by Islamists.
And she came out against Trump.
Ergo, she's targeted by the crazies.

I can't wait to see the headline "the end of an era"...
Klaus will be thrilled to see that hit.

Extremists are narrow minded and obviously dislike anyone who's against their opinions. Sad way to go on living your life. As a male who listens to different genres of music than typically one thing Taylor is extremely talented. A lot better than other artists who go on stage and barely do much cause fans pay to see a good performance.
