By always putting others first, you are a complete asshole... To yourself.

Believe it or not, as people, we are not always supposed to put others first. It's okay to say no, it's okay to look after yourself, and it's okay to be a bit selfish. It's healthy to do these things!

When a person always puts others first before themselves, we get this kind of scenario: Someone who is burnt out from being nice, and for never thinking of themselves. And then goes the complete opposite direction.

Find a balance. Everyone is allowed to be an asshole sometimes. No one likes a people pleaser, or a "yes man" anyways.

by the way Im really happy in my life with what i have and who is in it. I have a great life! its just that I think i can be much happier by not caring so much about those that arent in my life or dont mean shit to me...lol. its really pretty simple. Wish i realized this years ago

Yeah, I dislike "patio people" as well. Human beings sitting on the sidewalk stuffing their faces inches from pedestrians and mere feet away from toxic fume spewing cars. I also dislike their close cousin, the dreaded "porch people" who sit on their porches 24/7. Gee, that feels good, getting that stuff off my chest.
