It troubles me that when this channel started out it really did air programs about historical topics, many interesting a number less so.

But for several years now they have largely dumped the history programing in favour of garbage like "Ancient Astronauts," and "Decoded" it is a shame.

I could tolerate shows that have nothing about history like ice truck whatever or crab fisher whatever or things that go boom. I can even tolerate being a bit loose with the fact checking on actual history programs and their tendency to focus on the whiz bang and the drama over the actual story. However when they have shows that are anti history, I feel very strongly about that. It embiggens the rage. OTOH getting me into Viking rage mode, pretty easy. It seems the military channel for now has not desended too much into pseudo history, at least for now. I have not subscribed to it for a while.

Tip if you really think the world will end

I think Leon's has a thing where you don't pay for a year. So if you think the world will end as prescribed, load up on a ton of furniture, cause it is free.
