We've had Aunt Jemima on the bottles for ages.
Will they change the girl on the Wendy's logo too?
And I heard that they're changing the name of the Edmonton Eskimos to something else that start with an "E".
Why has this all become a problem now?

These are all first world problems...any 3rd world country could not be bothered by these so called "offensive logos"...
I'm a white guy who never connected the Aunt Jemima brand and image with slavery or anything else that I though might be offensive to Black people. Shows how little I know. Maybe it's my white Canadian naivite and ignorance.
I do know that's the syrup my mom put on the table when we were kids, and we loved it. I still buy it today cuz for whatever reason it's still on the shelves at Loblaws, and I much prefer the corn syrup flavor to maple syrup. So I'll still buy it no matter how they re-brand it.

The fact that this has to be explained to you makes it clear that you are from the the Jordan Peterson school of *ahem* 'thought' -- ie, middle-aged white guys who are unnerved because middle-aged white guys are no longer the centre of the damn universe anymore and don't get to call all the shots.
I'm a middle-aged white guy who happens to understand that the world has been stacked in my favour for centuries. It's no longer that way, nor should it be. And no, I am not "woke" -- whatever the hell that word even means -- I'm just a human being who happens to have empathy for other people's feelings.
Getting back to the matter at hand, only a complete and utter "snowflake" would get their tits tied in a knot over a private company choosing to be more sensitive to their customers.
To get with the times , If the just slowly shrunk the picture on the products label nobody would even notice that eventually it disappeared . Instead they have to make big PR social media announcements to apologize and explain how "woke" their pancake mix is now.

As they are in a foreign language, they are not English language stereotype slurs.
Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Dutch, Tagalog just to name a few that use common word. It simply means black.
There are some who are offended. They'll come for those languages too.
Lately being offended with everything is a thing.
First, we rebrand a jam, a team, a clothing line. Then, when all rebrandings are done and they're all gender and race neutral, something else will catch an eye.
Btw, Aunt Jemima brand was first introduced on November 1, 1889. It's 131 years old.
