Do you get to walk into a dentist's office and look at the dental records of your next door neighbour?

Do you get to walk into a doctor's office and check if your buddy takes viagra?

No, medical treatment decisions are private and personal in this country. They're no one else's business than the patient and the doctor.
exactly....which is why vaccine passports and proof of jabs in order to work were ILLEGAL

If you want a have a real discussion on this, I would say that parents are going to have varying degrees of acceptance. Some parents are going to be cool w almost anything; some are going to beat the kid up; and everything in between. And some teachers and counsellors are going to be smarter and more competent than others.

If you have a 13 year old kid who says "I'm gay. Don't tell dad.", are you seriously arguing that the teacher should just go and tell dad?!..... What is that going to achieve?... Kid clearly isn't comfortable with dad knowing.

You ever keep things from your parents when you were 13 or 16 years old?
Again, there are exceptions to the rule...not all parents are like that...you're nitpicking to justify this insanity...

No, I'm not.

The age for a kid in Ontario to consent to disclosure of his / her med records is 16 years. I don't see anything improper for saying 13 year olds can refuse to disclose their sexual orientation from their parents.

Jamie Reed is a life-long progressive and healthcare professional. For many years she has provided counselling to vulnerable populations including children in foster care, sexual minorities and young people with HIV. For four years she worked at The Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital, Missouri. What she saw in that time caused her to resign and turn whistleblower.

OK, then lets focus on science.

There are only 2 sexes. nothing more.
Except that's not what the science says. Instead of ideology, perhaps you want to actually look at it.

Primary sexual characteristics are primarily (but not completely) driven by X vs Y while secondary sexual characteristics rely on around 50 different genes. For most people, those genes pretty much line up but there are plenty of people who's genes aren't all showing consistent sex indicators. Even if you want to simply look at the Y chromosome, there are people out there that don't fit into the XX vs XY paradigm.

There are also brain studies showing that certain brain structures in trans people show closer alignment with their gender identity than the sex given at birth. I can go on.

More importantly, schools aren't teaching people to be gay, straight, trans or cis like you guys pretend. Schools are simply teaching that you shouldn't discriminate against people based simply on their identity.

p.s. science is an ideology too.

1) Dude are you autistic? There have been several post on schools assisting minors and removing the parents out the equation....
Have you not read any of them? I know you guys freaked out because a school social worker talked to a kid about clothing but last I checked, clothing isn't a life altering decision.

And you might want to check out the way things work but our medical system allows youth to make their own medical decisions and this isn't new. If a doctor thinks a youth is capable of understanding the decisions and the consequences, they are allowed to make their own decisions. I'm starting to get grey but even when I was in school, girls would routinely be prescribed the pill with or without parent consent.

No doctor will perform a sex change on a child, with or without parent consent so your scare tactics are a moot joke. At most, a doctor may prescribe puberty blockers but based on the currently available evidence (you know, that science you want to stick to) they aren't permanent either.

p.s. You have a problem with autistic people too?

What I'm talking about is "woke" teachers, indoctrinating children. In this video, a 13 year old boy is reprimanded by a teacher, for believing that they're only two genders. Stop the madness!!
...
Yes, teachers generally correct students when they make incorrect statements.

Ontario/Canada doesn't have a set age of informed consent for medical treatment, simply whether the doctor believes their consent if informed.
