The government believes a human life is 500 per week.I believe that a human life is priceless.
Yeah but the story about what happened makes no sense whatsoeverDid they find her ?
So you live at a subsistence level and work overtime to help save human life. You know the whole you can save a life in a third world country for the price of a cup of coffee.I believe that a human life is priceless.
Not Necessarily unpopular but some of these alerts are not needed in all places. For Ottawa to Toronto - ok - I can give you that. But ThurderBay???? Kitchener? Niagara Falls? Sault Ste Marie? Barrie?Sorry I am 100% at the other end of this one.
Maybe I can get back to sleep easier than most not sure but these alerts do not bother me for even a second.
I always imagine being the parent of the missing child and what they must be going through.
Based on this thread my opinion/feeling is unpopular but I will take the interruption if it saves even one child. I get that we are in the GTA (most of us) and this alert was from the Ottawa area but really it only takes four hours to drive here from Ottawa someone could easily have friends or family here.
Anyway sorry for those who don't like the alerts
Does Trenton share their stadium or do they get booted as well?Trenton, former home of the Yankees double-A team. As of right now, their last game there is July 4th.
It's a pretty effective system...Here we go again.
Let's wake up the entire province again. Twice in fact. Just in case the first one didn't wake me up.
Guess I will get a very early start to my day again.
In your opinion. There are about 14 million people in Ontario. They all lose 1 hour sleep because they were woken up by the Amber Alert, on the chance that maybe 1 person has info that could lead to the rescue of an abducted child. Typically, if an abductee is not found within 48 hours, they will not be found alive. So, time is crucial. They can't wait until 10 AM when most people are awake. One child's life is worth more than 14 million hours of lost sleep. I can't explain it any simpler than that.
Trenton Thunder ceased to exist with the "new" MiLB. Lots of empty stadiums around with the reorganization from last year.Does Trenton share their stadium or do they get booted as well?
