Alright kids, found out yesterday that I don't have Gonorrhea or Chlamydia, and nothing found in my urine so it's not urinary tract infection either. They don't know what is causing my 'non-specific' urethritis. My guess is that it's mechanical urethritis (damage due to hand/mouth/pussy abuse) and/or reaction to a soap or some bacteria.
The doc put me on more antibiotics - APO-CEPHALEX. I take one pill 4 times per day
APO-NAPROXEN 500mg - which is the same as ALEVE which is supposed to relieve pain etc (didn't feel any different)
I'm also taking:
Tylenol which is supposed to help relieve pain (I don't feel any different). 2 caplets every 4 hours
Advil " " " " " " " ". 1 caplet every 4 hours
Two cranberry capsules per day
That's a lot of pill popping for somebody who doesn't take pills. None of them appear to have done much so today I crossed the border, and picked up generic
Uristat (same as AZO-Standard). The active ingredient is
Phenazopryridine Hydrochloride and it is an analgesic. It essentially puts an anasthetic into your urine to dampen pain. Not only is it not sold over-the-counter in Canada - you can't even get it by prescription in Canada. You just pick it right off the shelf in the good ol US of A. To date, this has been the most effective for pain relief. It does not cure the problem it merely acts as an anasthetic. It turns your urine orange and can stain your clothes. But while I wait for something to take effect or for the problem to cure itself, at least now I have much less pain. I took 2 tablets just two hours ago and it worked within that time.
I also bought
Cystex for the same reason, its active ingredient is Sodium Salicylate (analgesic) and Methenamine (anti-bacterial). Can't get it in Canada either.
So I'll likely be out of commission for at least another week or two. I'd recommend both drugs above if you ever suffer from pain anywhere along the urinary tract. They don't offer ANY pain relievers in Canada aside from ordinary junk like Tylenol, Aleve, and Advil. Give me a fucking break.
