I'm not a conisseur of adult shops, but have been in a couple in town.
Most seem to be quite small out of the way, but the adult fun superstore is like the costco of adult shops around.
It's on St. Laurant.

Bar none the best and most informative sex shop. BDSM supplies are somewhat limited, but the rest of their selection is excellent.

My favourite toy shop (ie. best selection and best prices) can be found in a shop called Classixxx. There are many of them in town, however, the biggest one is on Carling Avenue, adjacent to the Queensway interchange. If you add a .com to the name you'll be able to browse their selections. You must note however, the webpage does not represent the total inventory of the shop.
Venus Envy is also an excellent shop, although their prices for comparable products are higher than Classixxx. The Adult Warehouse Shop on St. Laurent isn't even in the same class of the others. Lousy quality and high prices.

Classixxx is also one of my favourites, great selection and prices are good. I like the idea of being able to visit the web site and see some of the products I'm interested in before actually going there to make the purchase. Second on my list is Aren't We Naughty on Merivale Rd., prices are not bad and the staff are very helpful.
I have to say Venus Envy is the classiest place in town, I would bring my mother there.

"boutique erotic" i think its called, right on eddy street, they have pretty good stock
however, if you want a real treat, take 15 drive up teh old gatineau way, like your going to club pigales
at 44 greber blvd there is a place called sensations plus, la boutique erotic par excelence
this house , bulding always housed a sex shop, but it was limited, was just up there a month ago, and with the new name and a new amazing store
its full of stuff and displayed very well, the selection of toys and clothing is by far the best around
havent scene anything like it, except for montreal shops
