ISO - Horse Riding

I've decided that enough is enough and I'd better start really [living. Time to get out there and do things I've always thought would be neat to do; the things I've always said I'd get around to. Well now is the time!

That said, anyone know any good places to go learn how to ride a horse? I'm not looking to get into competition or anything. I'd just like to know how to get onto a horse and go riding for a few hours at a time without killing: a) moi b) the horse.

Hmmmm...well, let's see. First what type of riding are we talking about - western or english?
How much money are you looking to spend?
And whereabouts are you planning to do this?

There are a lot of excellent schools in the west end of the GTA, as close as a 1/2 hour drive. Look into these basic questions and go from there.
