Donetsk will join Russia like Crimea did. End of story. Americans are/have fucked up Iraq and Libya and Afghanistan. Germany has no desire to be involved. Kiev politicians realize by conceding areas of Ukraine that are predominantly Russian they will be able to get re-elected more easily (less Russian Ukrainians) and natural gas will continue to flow this winter.
