Is this really what things are like in China?

Looks to me like the girls are in some kind of training class to sell products (think Avon) or maybe to become models by selling themselves online using social media.

Didn't see the word prostutute or anything like it... I suppose if you read into it that it is a prostitution video, it is. But I don't think so!

Prostitution in China in something that isn't spoken about but is everywhere. Heck if you go to some karoke places you can get a 'hostess' for each man.

It's not really clear that this is specifically for call girls. It could very well be for a dating website. There are companies that sell dates to people and they work out of an agency. It could also be training for a night club. There are some night clubs that have a 80-90% female staff, and it could be about using social media and their pictures to attract people to the business. It wouldn't really surprise me if it were for prostitution because the girls would likely go through the same process.

I was trying to follow along with the Mandarin and English, and what was being said seemed to be close to the subtitles (although the speaking was too fast for me to pick up everything).

Tiananmen square is one of the most heavily observed/guarded places in all of China. This event could be a group immolation, or a car crash. Unfortunetley, sometimes vehicles crash in China, burst into flames, and people don't survive. However, in recent years, at least a few self immolations happen each year.
Heard on the radio to-day that China has arrestedédetained 5 suspects.

Careful when you read something like this. The Chinese government may present this as similar to terror attacks the US faces, but this (if true) is something else entirely. Many times a reported terror attack in China is really a protest for freedom of religion/speech/etc. but it's presented a different way.

When people are pushed to their breaking point, they have no voice or options, they feel there noting more they can do...

These are all great videos, and from my experience, I would say that the news reports accurate are true:

Very possible that they're just using technology and photos to sell beauty products, but at one point the lady said selling yourself and making sure you get a wealthy customer.. hmm
