Is there a plumber/toilet expert in the house?

I have a flutter in the flapper in my crapper...

I replaced the flapper because I thought it was leaking, but now it's worse and I can't figure out what causes it or how to fix it [btw, it is an American Standard toilet, about 20 years old]... it just shakes and vibrates!

I know it's a shitty kind of question, but there must be some shitty experts here?

Roto Rooter? They fixed my dishwasher on thanksgiving. Hole in the valve, was leaking everywhere during rinse cycle. They replaced it seamlessly with a new one that they had. I thought I'd have to go buy one myself.

Called them at 2pm. They got here at 3:30. On a holiday.

In and out in 45 mins. Took them that long because it took forever to find out where my water switch was located. Condos like to hide those things in inconspicuous places.

There may be other services people prefer or you could DIY but that's who I'd go with for an expert.

So is it leaking? What exactly is vibrating and shaking? The flapper is dead simple, you just need a good seal. To replace the whole assembly is like a 20 minute job.

If he's willing to do some pro bono, I might help him with his crapper.
I gather you have not been reading much?

I have, many times, responded here to calls for legal help and advice... in simple or uncomplicated cases, of course!

And so have several of the other lawyers on this board.

But what is your real point of your posts?

You have never offered me any legal advice.

So?

And, have you ever asked?

And, again, what is your point... that is, if there is one other than shit disturbing - which may be the most appropriate word on this thread!

I wasn't shit disturbing - I was actually trying to be humorous, since I know that you are a lawyer and that you have given others legal advice on this board. I don't use emoticons because I expect people to figure out the intent of my posts without the aid of cute, little images, but just by reading words.

Perry, I don't think he's aware of your posts on other threads, but he'd be willing to barter it seems.
Maybe he is a plumber in the same way that G. Gordon Liddy was a plumber?

My apologies, then.

But I did not see anything in what you posted that gave me any hint of humour... so, perhaps, you should use emoticons!

The whole assembly [flush valve?] that moves up and down when I flush and holds the rubber stopper...

Perry, do you know anything about personal injury law?
I know the basics but it was not my area of specialization. I was a criminal and commercial litigator...
