the guy is the classiest most productve Leaf we;ve had in years and you all are hatin on him? He's lost a step and injuries hurt tim for sure but come on. hes been a point a game player his career here and a great representative for the Maple Leafs. Id love to see him retire a Leaf but you can all suck my dick if you hate him and are a Leaf fan. If you arent a Leaf fan then screw off, you dont count

Sundin great? While I will agree that he has been a very good player but I dont think he has ever been top 20. Just my 2 cents.

Ive never said that Sundin should not be moved if the right trade came about, i agree its always worth looking at if it makes sense. I mean we traded Wendel for him didnt we? Sundin only has 34 points to McCabe's 49 points... McCabe has only played in 4 more games than Sundin.
Sundin has skills but shouldn't be a captain and its time to get rid of him for some better players with more heart like Gilmour...but first thing is first get rid of Quinn and Ferguson because they do not know how to choose players and don't know how to scout players....Oneal is like a useless replacement of Nolan, Lindros was a joke and signing Belfour at his age was a bigger joke time to let Telquist play he's faster...and pickup a few more guys with wheels and heart....Just a start....

.....I'd say let's talk when whe are closer to the trade deadline...see what's available...The Blues were able to move Doug Weight,and his lucrative contract...maybe if the right deal is there for the Leafs...but Sundin did show tonight that he has some left in the tank...and if I'm not mistaken, after the 2002 Olympics...he came back playing rather well..I think most of the players that go to the Olympics seem to come back to the NHL with a little extra in their game...wheats said:

One of the Leafs problems has been evaluating the talent they have by over & under estimating. They trade Gilmour & then waive Jason Smith & Steve Sullivan who go on to play at a high level. Both players could really help the Leafs right now. Sundin has always had the stigma of being traded for Wendel Clarke. Not easy to live up to but Sundin has proved the Leafs won that trade by his performance & longevity. Overall,the Leafs got the best years of both players.wheats said:
