Is oligarchy starting to become exposed in the USA?

Left or right, ultra conservative or ultra progressive, spend a few minutes to suspend your prejudice (good or bad) about Bernie and watch this and share. your thoughts.

If you don't watch the whole thing, please spare the rest of us your ignorant, uninformed opinions. We already know them.

I look forward to a well reasoned discussion for those up to it.

I have always admired Bernie for his honesty and authenticity.
If I was American I'd vote for him in Presidential elections.
America has always been ruled by the Oligarchy.
It has now come into full and blatant view with Elon Musk.
Cutting child cancer research etc is evil.
I think at this point he is over doing it.
Will the jealous Republicans turn against Musk at some point if they view him as a threat?
Anyway, just a thought below:
If it continues unchecked, and this may not happen in our lifetime, the US may well end up in a revolution. Just like in Russia against the Tsar lol.
For example, when was the last time a CEO was gunned down in the streets and received bi-partisan support from the masses? lol.

Look up the 1920's and 30's.

Same things happening. Nation in debt due to war. Pandemic. Global migrant crisis. Wealth concentration. Rise of xenophobia. People tired of gridlock government. Right wing obstructionist SCOTUS. Robber Barons directly interference in government policy openly. Attempts to reduce government influence on business practices. Wall St. Investors creating bubbles that will harm little guy investors.

Of course there are superficial differences on types if business tech, information availability. Obviously Nukes on the international front. And more.

But same base things creating the same circumstances that will likely lead to another Depression.

Trump just nuked a bloated 1,500-page spending bill, opting for a lean 120-page resolution that actually helps people. Here's the breakdown: - FEMA gets $29 billion for hurricane relief - Farmers score $20 billion for disaster aid - Another $10 billion goes straight to farmers' pockets for economic support What didn't make the cut? - No more money for that State Department censorship outfit (the "Global Engagement Center") - No protection for the January 6th Committee - Lawmakers won't see a pay raise this year This bill is now heading to the Senate, where it's set to be Trump's first big win, and he's not even in office yet.

Show us where TRUMP "nuked it".

President Musk used his bully pulpit, Xitter, to intimidate politicians by posting implied threats he would use his huge fortune to target them in the next mid-term elections.

The big problem here is Trump gassed himself getting re-elected, he probably has no fortitude left. Let's not forget President Reagan scrapped FDR's New Deal, since then the wealth gap has only gotten wider. Since then every recession has gotten more intense, it will not slow down.

That's the way it should be. Trump has to get rid of these disloyal Rino's like Murkowski, Collins, etc etc. Primary "the hell" out of these Rino's----LMAO Trump should be able to elect the cabinet he wants to. Elon's vast wealth will primary these Rino's, once and for all. Good for Elon!!

The days when hardcore left and right will realize they have been fooled all along. The biggest problem is top to bottom, which will be the day of revolt against the rich.

It's quite inevitable. We are not there yet but it will come. The younger generation is currently in a bottleneck. They work to pay rent and survive. Fuck that! I work with a team in the Philippines and they are much happier than my American team. By far.

🚨
Mark “White Rage” Milley lied about Joe Biden’s mental fitness a year ago in a 60 Minutes interview because he didn’t want President Trump to win the election. This was a massive cover-up: “I meet frequently with the President and every single time I meet with [Biden] — he’s just fine. How people interpret that is up to them. But I engage with him frequently and he’s alert, sound, does his homework, reads the papers, reads all the read-ahead material. And he's very, very engaging in issues of very serious matters of war and peace and life and death. So if the American people are worried about an individual who is, you know, someone who's making decisions of war and peace and has access to, you know, makes the decisions of nuclear weapons and that sort of thing, I think they can rest easy.”

The problem is that Western politics now deflects into a "liberal coalition" wing and a "racist white rage" wing. There is the same demographic in Canada, the UK and the US. Roughly 40% of voters will vote "racist white rage" because of continual, concerted anger farming on the internet and the provision of simplistic answers to largely non existent problems.

The UK Labour won big this summer because Reform and the Tories split the "racist white rage" vote and the Tories had pissed away any credibility. The combined Tory / Reform polling support now sits at about 40%, significantly higher than Labour. Eventually the Tories will say "fuck it, old chappie!" in their posh private school accents and let Farage take over and combine both parties.

The Tories significantly out poll the Libs in Canada.

This is largely due to the rightie media creating a bogus issue in immigration and linking it to crime and then endlessly anger-farming on that issue.

Until this wanking waste of time runs its course with useless and corrupt rightie administrations, there is going to be little progress on any other issue. The "racist white rage" parties simply want to get into office to grift and cut tax breaks for their plutocrat donor class. They have no agenda for really governing. Just look at PeePee, Farage, Trump and the vile parade of other cunts.

The oligarchs (eg Kochs) always existed.
They're being emboldened and made stupid by staying in their echo chamber. So the new money types are jumping into the sunlight.
Trump nuked it the previous bill because he wanted them to raise the debt limit because he knows his tax cuts for billionaires will not be possible under current ceiling. Thus the new bill did that and it was rejected. Thus back to the original bipartisan bill.
The Dems want the R congress to own the deficit blowout that these cuts will cause.
