Yep, and while he's at it, maybe he should show her this site and the 1327 (1.13 posts per day) posts he's made here.

If he's found someone who is fun to be with for the moment, maybe he should stop and consider that maybe he's not perfect himself -- and accept her for who she is.

Or, at the very least, give her the chance to see him for who he is. She obviously doesn't feel the need to hide her drinking from him. Has he been as honest about his participation here (and in this industry) with her?

Point taken, and I am sure that could apply to many of us.

I certainly wouldn't show any of my friends my posts (Even if 95% of them are in the lounge.) You can check if you like.

Believe me, I know I am not perfect. And I am not an angel.

But I don't think I am a sex addict to be honest with you. I have gone sometimes upwards of 6 months without participating in "the hobby". At most now, I might go for a massage once every 2 or 3 weeks, and I don't bother with call girls.

I don't consider that out of control.

If my friend could go 6 mos. without a drink, I wouldn't be having concerns, but she can't go 6 days.

But thanks for your input.

If you take the 20 AA questions and instead of "drinking" its "hobbying" or "masturbating", I think the alot of people here would get at least 3 "Yes". At least I do.

You have no idea what you talking about. AA is by far the most successful program to help people with addictions.
The estimated success rate is over 70%.
Looks like to me you are still out there. Come back my friend our door is always open.
Sorry Langeweile...didn't mean to offend you. After being sober for 18 years I'm still hoping for a cure. Who will lobby for us, if not AA. My desire for a cure is as legitimate as it is for the lung cancer patient. Let's face it, to go out and have a couple of beers is fun and I'm happy for every person which can do that without losing control.

Well, they say it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.

I won't deny that a problem with alcohol (or drugs or using adult services or just about a zillion other things) can cause trouble down the road.

But for right now, you've found someone who is (by your own admission) funny, fun to be with, not needy, and she likes you. So until it's a problem, why not stop and smell the roses? Maybe if the day comes that it is a problem, you'll decide it's not worth it. But has that day come yet? Consider yourself lucky -- you've found something that many people seek and never find.

If she needs help so be it, but for a Board full of whoremasters, rub & tuggers and self-declared perverts there is one hell of a lot of judgement being past on three glasses of wine a night. [/B][/QUOTE]]

Is this an autobiography?

My first post on this topic. I hardly see how that is relentless.
Me thinks you need to step away and take a deep breath.

IMHO

If you need a taste of alcohol each day you are a alcoholic. But keep in mind there are many degrees of alcoholism.

peelcowboy - there is nothing foolish about what I said. What is foolish is your steadfast suppport and approval for people to drink everyday, even get drunk, and still have the gall to say they are not alcoholic(s). The last person to admit to alcoholism is often the person suffering from it.

n_V, the point is, that your relentless desire to pigeon hole people based on some horseshit group of questions or other worthless criteria is STUPID.

langeweile, I know how comforting it would be to your myopic worldview if I were a drunk but, sorry, I just fit in the other 3 catagories.

Well I've been there so I do know what I'm talking about.
I can tell you that the success rate is definitely not over 70 %
