There is no such word as "your's". There is "yours", "his", "hers", "ours", "mine" and "theirs"

And it's not "apostrophy" it is "apostrophe"



You are wrong there too, "sister's" is the equivalant of "sister is". To indicate ownership, depending on how you use it in a sentence, you would spell it simply "sisters" or "sisters' "

And to get on topic Ariel, if you are picking up internet and never plugged anything into your computer then you have a built in wireless card.

I stand corrected in my example: yes, your's is incorrect but brother's IS correct.

In fact, it can be used either way as in "your bother's going to the party" or "is that your brother's car"?

Actually, Tboy was correct to say sister's as in "her sister's net access" although his explanation of why he used it was flawed...

Sister's does not only mean 'sister is' but it is also the correct possessive form of sister. (Compare John's car - the apostrophe in this case does not replace an 'i' as in John is car. You would not say Johns car.)

To say sisters' with the apostrophe at the very end implies that there are two or more sisters which would be incorrect in this case.

How are you so certain there wasn’t 2 sisters? LOL just messing, but you are right, the correct way is "sister's"
