I've been a hobbyist for more than a decade here and in ,Florida where I spend the winter. I have excellent references and never date for less than 2 hours- usually more.
This weekend I texted 4 independent women and 1 agency.Only the agency repied telling me the girl I asked about requires 48 hrs notice.l believe that speaks volumes about the industry here-inadequate competition?
Ladies please wade in on this?

I started trying to arrange an appointment Friday mid morning for 2-3 hrs that evening.on both Saturday and Sunday I texted others just to ask about availablillity this week.
I now have a contact from one girl who was away.

Yes I have been having similar problems. Texting Sp's who are advertising and getting no replies (not last minute). Saying that these are from names I don't see on the boards on a regular basis.

So it happened yesterday also. An Sp I have seen a few times before. I said in the text who it was from and Looking for availability for the next day. The SP has been advertising all week. Perhaps business is just to good right now.

And yes this is not a review
Do members not post in the 411 section when asking for info because they think they have a better chance of getting a reply in this forum because it seems to be the busier of the two. Hmmmm Am I on to anything here?

I think going forward I might just not reply to the posts that are questions in the review section until they get moved. lol

Great, forward that to the person who started the thread. Why is it that 2 people who have been on this board for almost 1 year and 1 a couple of months feel that they are the thread cops. Just relax and let the MOd's sort it out. I noticed the same thing happening on other threads also. Perhaps if you don't have info to add to the thread you just mix out.

784 posts since March. I guess this is how you boost those counts. Yours is bigger so I guess you win. Don't preach RESPECT to me. I have been on this board since 2006. Not that makes me better, but I have been a hobbyist for a long time. All I care about is info, not where things are posted. Board management is not my responsibility and its not yours either.

All I care about is info

Well than you should be happy we have members like WIR that will post a lot of information in his many posts he has made since March. I also don't agree with you responsibility statement. You are a member of this community and it is your responsibility to follow the rules even if you think it is dumb. The rules are pretty simple and if used I much prefer having reviews in the review section and the Questions and other stuff in 411. It really isn't that hard to post under the right forum and if you make a mistake it is easy to fix as long as you don't wait past the edit period.

I get it when new members make mistakes and have even done it myself but if I want to withhold info if posted in the wrong sub makes me a cop?? If mods want to give me the power to be able to move threads I would gladly take that privilege and help out when I can but I don't see that happening lol

A few members on Terb (called the thread cops by the Terb veterans) are trying to support the guidelines established by the Mods and point the some new members in the right direction. It's unfortunate that these actions get shit on so often, especially since it's done with good intentions (not the shitting part), but it's life.
Well, saying, and I quote, "So why post it in the review section lol" is not really supporting the guidelines. it is just figurativ, ely tweaking their nose.

Saying, "Hi, I know you have been around soooo very long that you should be aware of this, however, your post really should be in the 411 section as it is not really a review."

Ya, ya...said tongue in cheek!

The only mod reaction to any of the "you posted this in the wrong forum!!!!" posts I've read tonight has been a warning to you. Maybe you should listen to Mod42 and take it easy.

Gentlemen.

1. TRY to post in the correct forum. If you're reviewing, it goes in the review forum. Anything else should go in the 411 forum. If you fuck up, we'll move the thread. If you do it too often, we may have a private conversation about it.

2. The thread policing by the members needs to stop. We're around. We'll move threads if required. We'll advise or admonish members as required. That's our job, not yours.

Carry on.

Thank you Mod42.

I don't think a simple reminder by members is a felony, nor a mistake by a member who posts in the wrong section. If there's some sarcasm involved, we're all big boys and not wusses. We should handle it. If a member can't move his thread within the edit period, then the Moderators will.

As to the OP's question, it will be difficult if an indy is not advertising but if she is and says she has openings, then your chances are better. Last minute is always tough, but probably easier to get with agencies? There are many ladies around, so you should find someone eventually. Just my two cents.

Have a nice day.

That was my comment not Bobbiz'. To answer you why I said what I said that partly in humor as the OPs second comments says and I quote "And yes this is not a review". OP was well aware the post should have been in the 411 section but for some reason didn't want it there. Also a member since 2005 but with only 16 posts I guess he is still a noob.

WOW 23,121 posts is that the most posts of any member? That is an average of 9 posts a days EVERYDAY FOR 7 YEARS!!

Thank you very much. Tired of reading members policing others. Becomes tiresome. Thanks again.
