I've been sick for some time now, over a month. I've gone from a regular cold to something much worse. I have been on antibitiotics for 5 days now... with some improvent but I still have a nagging cough and runny nose. I have an ear infection, sore throat, cough and overall I just feel like crap. Tonight I noticed backpain I haven't felt before. On my left side, just above where my ribs start in my back I have a sensitive spot that is sore to the touch. It hurts to move, is this a hernia? I've been coughing until I puke for at least a week... I wouldnt be surprised if I did manage to give myself one... but can I get one in my back and up so high?
Here's a question...are you an sp and were you seeing clients during all of this zombification?

My back is still sore, It's not any better than it was yesterday she told me to take extra strength tylenol and come back if I still have the cough after I've finished the antibiotics. It's going to be a rough couple of days...
Chantelle, try Robax Platinum instead of extra strength tylenol. It has muscle relaxers in it. Hope you are better soon :)

Herniation of bone or organs is possible but unlikely in your case. Herniation typically leads to loss of mobility / flexibility in addition to pain. Yours sounds like a pulled muscle.

Keep popping those pills. Then eat healthy and exercise regularly to boost your immune system.

Sounds more like pleurisy to me. I had it once with all the symptoms you're describing. Go to another doctor and get a second opinion and an x-ray on your lungs. Believe me, you don't want to leave this untreated!

Her symptoms are pretty consistent with pleurisy, which is the mildest of the more severe things that it could be. Also, signs of a bacterial infection five days into antibiotic treatment are a little worrying. But diagnosis on terb is dumb - yes I am participating in this dumbality - so get it looked at. No reasonable person will diss you for taking advantage of the health care system.

Just what i said, tks. :thumb:

She needs to be checked for pneumonia or pleurisy. People here telling her it's a strained muscle will not help her cuz she needs a proper diagnose and I bet my bottom dollar it's pneumonia and/or pleurisy.

So true. I feel like I have been such a GFE experience that she will be asking me to pick up some tampons for her next.

Yes pneumonia leads to a condition called "dry pussy", and this leads to a "dry fuck".

Better get treated right away.

That sounds very similar to what my Daughter had last year. She ended up with pneumonia, a lung infection and a sinus infection. She had some very severe back pain and the Dr. sent her for xrays as it seems that with severe coughing you can actually fracture your ribs. As it turns out her lungs were actually bruised. This has been going on far too long hon, I would suggest getting to the Hospital and asking for a chest xray as well as better anti biotics and even a puffer to help open the bronchial tubes. Oh, Tylenol 1 has a small amount of codeine in it, great for helping calm a bad cough.
I hope you feel better soon. HUG

My doc gives me a precription for cough medicine with codiene when I have a constant cough. The codiene makes you drowsy but you can get a good night sleep without coughing through the night.

Hey, thanks everybody. It was late that night and I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what it was... It wasnt so bad that I felt I should have gone to the emergency, but I also thought it would have gone away by now... I think I will be getting a second opinion. I'm sure if I did in the first place I wouldn't be as sick as I am now.
