Is it a hernia?! What is it?!

I've been sick for some time now, over a month. I've gone from a regular cold to something much worse. I have been on antibitiotics for 5 days now... with some improvent but I still have a nagging cough and runny nose. I have an ear infection, sore throat, cough and overall I just feel like crap. Tonight I noticed backpain I haven't felt before. On my left side, just above where my ribs start in my back I have a sensitive spot that is sore to the touch. It hurts to move, is this a hernia? I've been coughing until I puke for at least a week... I wouldnt be surprised if I did manage to give myself one... but can I get one in my back and up so high?

Unfortunately it sounds to me like you suffer from a very serious condition. I believe the sore spot is actually dead tissue, the aches and pains all over your body, the sickness, they are all telltale signs of a serious, systemic problem. And it is gradually going to spread until it covers your whole body. There is no cure for this. It is known by the scientific name "Zombification". A few days after you are actually legally dead, you will find that you are still able to move around. If you take precautions--such as making sure your body isn't buried to deeply--you should be back on your feet a few days later. You will, however, have developed an insatiable appetite for eating people's brains.

p.s., it's usually not a good idea to get legal advice on terb, see your doctor instead.

Shit, i trust the Terbbies more then some doctors when it comes to this hobby which some doctors don't approve of one bit and let their moral beliefs fuck them up

I got no idea what is wrong with you but this place is top notch and free for the doctors to check you out. You might be there 2-3 hours thou for the free exam....the exam takes only 5-10 mins, its just depends how busy they are.

I don't know my doctor isn't all that good with his legal advise, she should ask MRSCaloki, she can google anything medical or legal.

Could be pneumonia. Or a pulled muscle from coughing. It's hard to tell without an examination. Go see your doc.

Location doesn't sound like a hernia, but go see a doctor or go to Emerg, for crying out loud. If you're coughing 'til you puke you could do worse, even dislocate a rib and if you think you hurt now.

Chantelle.

Sorry you are ill. Could you please edit the original posting so it reads hernia (not henia). As everytime I read "Is it a henia? What is it?" I end up wondering what is a henia.

Feel better, soon.

A shame I had to read the full details of your illness as it moves you into the GFE I would prefer was out of sight though. (Joking)

See your Doc again, it's probably just a pulled muscle from all the coughing.

it could be a strained muscle due to coughing. if your chest feels tight- then could be pneumonia- if you have been taking antibiotics and getting some relief then its some sort of bacteriological infection- keep getting rest and plenty of fluids. did you take any cough suppresants? sound like you need one.

good luck

Suggest that you ask someone to come over and rub Vicks Vapo Rub on your chest.
That always works for me.

Her symptoms are pretty consistent with pleurisy, which is the mildest of the more severe things that it could be. Also, signs of a bacterial infection five days into antibiotic treatment are a little worrying. But diagnosis on terb is dumb - yes I am participating in this dumbality - so get it looked at. No reasonable person will diss you for taking advantage of the health care system.

lol, that was pretty funny. I figured someone might be able to give me a general idea. Saw my doc though. It's a muscle spasm.

lol, I'll do that right now. I downloaded some program a few days ago, that was obviously a virus. My spelling now is terrible, When I type it skips letters and entire words.

What about the sore? Anyways, glad you saw your doctor and advise him/her of all your symptoms.

Never ever give medical advice to a specific individual about their condition without an examination it Pisses of the CPSO

Go see a doctor :) it is free in Ontario for most people.
