Is Firefox dying?
Anecdotes are interesting, but the statistics show that Firefox is declining (google "Browser market share", such as here)

Internet Explorer is fragmenting (IE8, IE9, etc), and Chrome has been growing.

I wouldn't suggest Firefox is dying, at least not yet, but it is certainly no longer the alternate browser of choice, anecdotal evidence from this thread notwithstanding.

When I used Windows I used FF almost exclusively.... Now that I only use Mac/iOS devices I use Safari exclusively (except for 2-3 corp systems that require FF). I would never use chrome - Google is too accomplished at tracking....

I concur but that might be anecdotal :) , I say use whatever knocks your socks off as long as it's secure. And I wasn't kidding about those third party aka "wanna be" browsers that are slim etc. If they don't pass Gov't/Banks as legit. They are useless

The icons of web browsing, ei, ffox, safari, are all seeing a decline. Doesn't mean they are any less secure. Eventually the weakest will be replaced. It's just a matter of time. Think of it as survival of the fittest. Put up or shut up. In terms of security. If there is such a thing anymore lol

BIG PS * The market has changed over the years, it's that simple. Mobile device's are kicking in tablets, smartphones or anything with a computer chip in it. How can you fit a full sized web browser on such a device? And why would you want to? That's the kicker, new players on the market. Android et al require a snappy, browser and I think that's why the shift.
