Is CL Erotic services shut Down ?

Part of me thinks they may be switching over to a pay for play system. Now mind you I think it will have the adverse effect that the politicians think it will have. Now the ones who are doing it of their own accord are either going to incur extra costs to post ads. Meanwhile I think the crime groups that are in the exploitation business still have ample means to advertise on paid methods.

The company removed its "erotic services" section from its U.S. sites in September after several U.S. attorneys general said there wasn't enough protection against blocking potentially illegal ads promoting prostitution.
That prompted Ontario's Attorney General Chris Bentley to write a letter, and later a second one, to Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster, asking him to pull prostitution ads in Canada as well.

What I don't get is that they say that it was promoting human trafficking and the offering of children for sale. Now I've never seen anything like that in Ottawa, but if you did believe was happening, could you really be niave enough to think it would stop just because they couldn't advertise on Craigslist anymore? So wouldn't they rather it be somewhere where a cop or Children's Aid could easily find it and do something about it? If you really think that is happening, why would you drive the advertising of kids deeper where only peodophiles can find them? This seems to me to be another political slight of hand where the average joe thinks something is being done about something we all hate when they are really only making things worse.

Didn't one of the escort services here get accused of human trafficking on Craigslist by some parliamentarian, because one of their girls "looked like she was 12" from her photos? Looking at the picture she looked quite a bit older than 12 to me (big tattoos, face quite a bit older, etc.).
