I am surprised she doesn't ask for a copy of your "Last Will and Testament" or perhaps taking a second charge/mortgage on your house! or ask me for my spouses cell phone number LOL
But it is her prerogative to request anything she wants, but it likely impact her client base....she may have had a real bad previous experience that lends her to taking these precautions.
Well, I no longer see Indys, so I could not provide a reference that way. The Indys I have seen in the past are retired and almost every new one does the same types of screening, so we're incompatible.
I could solve the above, but of utmost importance to me is my anonymity. Under no circumstance will I ever provide ID to a provider or agency. Searching Google or this forum will give you plenty of reasons why this is a bad idea. I also do not do LinkedIn.
Not applicable to her, lastly, I will never do a deposit or etransfer, which many Indys ask for. I lose my anonymity with an etransfer and it is irrelevant anyway, as I don't pay in advance for services - even just a percentage up front. You basically have to treat a deposit as a sunk cost, as once the lady has your money, she has 100% of the control. Yes, there are plenty of reputable ladies and their are also less than honorable ladies. I don't play the deposit game, so does not matter to me, but there are plenty of both positive and negative examples so it is up to each person to make their own decision and live with the consequences.
I'm fine with sticking to the agencies, as there is plenty of great selection and quality there and I tend to do most of my fun time in other countries anyway.
