Was watching CP24 (Shanelle Kaul, what a woman). Apparently, something bad happened to their nuclear facility. More details to follow. (Iran is the same country that "accidentally" shot down a civilian aircraft).

Terrible. However it was not so bad when USA "accidentally" shot down a civilian aircraft.

Wasn't that Iranian aircraft in a war zone headed straight or almost straight for a U.S. warship?
Negative. But I am sure you have a whole library of excuses. It is OK to shoot down a civilian Iranian aircraft.

The 1988 incident has been debated and resolved and compensation paid. File closed.

The question now is what will Iran do with respect to the downing of Ukraine International Airlines flight 752 in 2020?

"Iran initially reported that the plane went down due to technical failure. As first reported by Newsweek, U.S. and Canadian intelligence briefings forced the Iranian regime to admit that its troops were at fault. All 176 people aboard were killed, including 82 Iranians and 57 Canadians. Other victims were from Ukraine, Sweden, Afghanistan and the U.K."

Apparently, some kind of accident. Iran blames Israel.

Hope this is not another Chernobyl or Fujiyama.

haha

maybe Iran will glow for the next 1000 years
If there is a nuclear fallout, it will follow the wind and waves (usually west to east).

Israel took out Iraq's nuclear facility years ago.

Iran just have to pay $M 61.7*176/290 = $M 37.4 then it is case closed.

What more do you expect them to do? They said they did it. They said someone fucked up, they expressed regret and they agreed to pay compensation. What else can they do?

" As part of the settlement, even though the U.S. government did not admit legal liability or formally apologize to Iran, it agreed to pay US$61.8 million on an ex gratia basis in compensation to the families of the Iranian victims " - what dickheads!!!

The Mullahs were running down their citizens during protests and their opposition is still locked up.

The something was a blackout at the enrichment facility where Iran had just activated a bunch of higher end centrifuges. Unless Iran is really hiding something, the uranium there would be well under 20% and unlikely to cause any radioactive release.

Could be they didn't connect these new centrifuges properly, could be Israel caused the blackout. Of course Iran's government is calling this terrorism.

Whew! Looks like the damage is contained. No Chernobyl and no Fujiyama. Some of the radioactive stuff from Chernobyl went to Sweden because the wind blew the wrong way and some of that Fujiyama stuff actually crossed the Pacific to B.C..
