Right. i have a million pdf documents (well, you know). a quick search indicates it's difficult to transfer these files to a pdf reader on the iPad. Is that so? or is it as simple as copy them to a library directory and sync?
with itunes.... i have been using itunes to manage and organize my pdf's for years

Yes I do have Itunes on my home puter. Only for syncing MP3's and charging. I've never bought anything through it. Never tried. Question though..... Can you purchase and DL free apps. on your non - Apple product and then transfer them to your Ipod during the "sync" / charging process? Never tried this but just a thought. I don't have access to wifi where I live so I can't access the Itunes store directly through my Ipod.
yes u can.....

As already said, sure.
As long as you have an account with iTune, you can then DL purchased and free apps/songs/vid or what have you onto your windows iTune and sync ( transfer ) them to your iPod/Pad/Phone.

I do all my purchasing via iTune on my mac desktop and I don't do gift cards. When dl apps via my Touch , even free ones, I will still need to sign in then verify my CC info before being able to dl.
