LOL!

There was someone on here who was going on about how well the Asus Transformer tablet was selling and then I found out that they were hoping to sell 4 million of them in 2012. Can you believe that? They're hoping to sell in a year what Apple sells over a long weekend.
Now that's funny

Maybe the next release will have usb host and sd. That will raise the bar again.
They insides of an iPad has plenty of room for an SD reader and Micro USB, but they will never do it.

If Apple was going to put an SD card reader in they would have done it by now. They fact is they don't want to put it in, they want you to use iTunes to manage content.

As for USB, there is the camera connection kit, and the iPad will load up as an SD card to transfer photos or movies when you plug it into Windows.

I don't think so...think it's now crammed to the gills with battery.

You don't think so? Is this just guessing or something you read from a factual blog/report or image?
Curious.

Just like the macbook pros, they didn't put an SD slot for awhile while other laptop manufacturers did and apple finally caved in.

Curious.
I read in early reports that the reason why you can still get 10-hrs of usage out of the iPad despite its better display and processor is because it is now jam-packed with battery. That is why it now takes much longer to recharge.

If you're still curious, have a look at this:

http://ipad3newsblog.com/2012/03/the-new-ipad-battery-recharging-time/

The new battery present in the new iPad is 70% larger than the previous generations and more than half of the battery’s power goes into maintaining the many functions of the device. What we came to know is that though the battery is larger, it also takes several hours more to recharge, compared to the previous generations of the iPad. Yes, Apple has been able to develop a battery which is far powerful than the previous models; however, the downside of this new development is that it takes a longer time to recharge.
