I have a Sony Vaio Pentium 4 with "RealTime' software downloaded. I also have Rogers HiSpeed cable connection.

I want to be able to listen to overseas radio, particularly UK soccer and international rugby commentaries, also various European FM music stations.

I get a few stations, but not all! When I click on some of the other stations, incl BBC, I get the following nessage;-

"Unable to locate proxy server. This proxy server does not have a DNS entry.
Please check the proxy server name and try again."

That instruction is as clear as MUD! What the %&$@# is a DNS entry??

What do I have to do to get access to these overseas radio stations?

Any helpful suggestions would be gratefully received!

Internet Overseas Radio

Went there, did that 10.00 p.m. Berkshire time, and same result (message)
Obviously the station has to be on the air when I go on line!! I doubt that this is the issue as other FM stations can be accessed, no problem! So it has to be a technical issue! Tks for your input thirdtime.

I find a lot on this list seem to work very well - be sure to give enough time for them to connect and to have the correct media player installed for the particular station you want to hear . Upon further investigation it appears that most U.K. radio stations do not broadcast outside of U.K due to heavy fines and royalty fees from recent legislation - pity eh

Thanks for your info pony, much appreciated.
I was not aware of this UK legislation! I will give that site a try... Things have really changed as one used to be able to tune in to many more stations. I am
particularly surprised that the BBC Sports radio can no longer be accessed! Yet their TV News 'Overseas Service' is broadcast regularly!
