Infrared security camera hooked up to computer

Hi,

I posted a thread in the Lounge about how the output from my security camera, hooked up to my computer, shows up as pure white. More details are here:

Try this, at least it won't hurt. Go to Start, control panel, display, settings, advanced, troubleshooting and turn down the acceleration one notch.

The suggestion in the other thread about dowloading an updated video driver is a good one.

I always suggest that if you choose to use a PC to view and run security cameras yo use a dedicated PC for it.

There are less chances for you settings to change as a result of other programs

what is the connection type?

USB doesn't have the right cable integrity (length, power issues etc.).

Is this CCTV? If not, that is your best bet - tons of options with the right IO cards.
