Indie vs. Agency

Heya TERBites,

I've recently relocated to the GTA and have perhaps a naïve question. I have yet to dive into the hobby here, but it's a almost like being a kid in a candy store. Perhaps I'm getting "analysis paralysis" but there are so many seemingly amazing options to choose from here!

I've been lurking on the boards here for a little while and noticed distinct separation of advertisers / reviews for SP's who are with agencies and those who are independent. The question in a nutshell: What are the benefits / drawbacks of going with either?

Agency you can pretty much guarantee you won’t get robbed and get what you pay for. Service level will vary of course. Independent more of a crapshoot especially if you use leolist. If you are lazy to research stick with agencies.

As a general rule, agency girls are younger and less expensive. I find independents offer a more consistent level of service, less hit and miss service wise. With independents you will most likely have to hand over personal information or a deposit, or both. With deposits you open yourself up to theft, which we see more and more on here....even with "reputable" (whatever that means) providers. You can find many agencies who don't require you to hand over personal information or a deposit. My advice, start with an agency that doesn't require personal information or deposits...Mirage, SFT, DD, TP, Hush. Cheers.

This has been asked/discussed many times before. If you do a search, I think you'll find lengthy discussions.

The highlights:
Agency - In general, a little more economical and easier to book with.

Independent - Often higher priced and more detailed/intrusive screening, but sometimes worth it if you have specific requests, like role playing, outfits, etc. Communicating directly with the provider allows for a little more customized encounter.
Many of the independent ladies started out at an agency before gaining enough knowledge and confidence to go indy. Some go independent after getting consistently good reviews at an agency, but that isn't always the case.

Classifieds (leolist) - Often lower priced but it's a bit of a crap shoot for looks, service, scams, etc.

All good advice above, one thing to add.

If you like to plan ahead the agencies don't post schedules very far in advance, and in my experience the agency girls may work less often so booking a specific girl you really like the looks of may be harder to do.

Indy's are more likely to plan their schedules well in advance so finding a time with a specific girl may be easier.

With indies, you can almost always speak directly to the actual service provider. With agencies, you are almost always talking to a male booker who might never have even seen the SP in person. I'm a one woman man now but back in the day I preferred to talk directly with the SP. to get an idea of her oral skills.
