Former President of Argentina Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner called Paul Singer a blood sucking vampire. That's one of the more genteel terms to describe vulture capitalist Paul Singer. Something has changed in the man's glacial exterior - he's become a hero in Milano. He sold the club AC Milan for an extraordinary sum of 1.2 billion euros but still owns a 30% stake. He financially stretched the rectums of the Chinese paper tigers to take over the club. Not matter what Paul Singer is called, stupid isn't one of them. He briefly showed up for the Milan scudetto celebration, held up the trophy then disappeared into the nether...as is his nature.

2017 was a pivotal year for Elliot Management. Not only was Paul Singer taking out the Yonghong trash, he was also locked in an ownership dispute with Warren Buffett over Oncor Electric of Texas. Eventually Berkshire-Hathaway paid $9.2 billion for the company, including buying up Elliot's stake in the company. Three years later, in the winter of 2021, the Texas power grid crashed. Which begs the question, is Warren Buffett stupid?
