I was given a G3iMac OSX, but the only problem is that the person who put in the password has passed on. I was given a few to try, but no luck. I was also told it could be bypassed, and if any one here can help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

If u do not need to masquerade as that user and u want to create a new account it is fairy easy and takes 5 to 10 minutes .... IM me or follow these steps below...
1. Press Command-S during startup to get into single user mode
2. Check the filesystem:
# /sbin/fsck -fy
3. Mount the root partition as writable:
# /sbin/mount -uw /
4. Remove the hidden .AppleSetupDone file:
# rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
5. a) For Mac OS X 10.5 ‘Leopard’ and newer, do:
# launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.DirectoryServices.plist
Repeat for every user previously defined on the machine (replace {username} with the real user name):
# dscl . -delete /Users/{username}
# dscl . -delete /Groups/admin GroupMembership {username}
5. b) For older versions of Mac OS X, do:
# rm -rf /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb
6. Remove the home directories of users. For every user do (replace {username} with the real user name):
# rm -rf /Users/{username}
7. If applicable, remove already created files in root’s home directory, e.g.
# rm /root/.bash_history
8. Reboot:
# reboot

Do you have the original CD's that came with it?
If so, pop it in. Boot from the CD by restarting and holding the C key. Next, you will choose a language. After that, you will see a menu bar appear at the top of the screen. Under tools or utilities you will see a "Reset Password" option. From there, choose the account you wish to reset the password for.

yeah he said he did not have the cd otherwise it is ass simple.... you could have even gone through deleting the password from the net info db and making the password blank .... but what i did gives you the feeling of a new mac.
I received Mac OSX 10.3 today. install Disc 1 Upgrade disc
Disc 2 & 3 install discs.
I reformatted, repartitioned the HD (55.9GB), but being the moron I am, I never payed attention to the discs, and I did all this with the upgrade disc, disc 1. Now I am not able to install anything else.
What to do now?

Go buy an older OS installation disc .... u have no OS to upgrade from or get another Mac boot yours in target mode and either asr the os over or dd it over.
