I'm planning on a trip to Cuba

Hi everyone!
Can you guys help me over here?... I wanna go to Cuba (heard a lot of great things)... Now, besides the girls..I've heard it's cheep too...after I checked with different agencies...the best I came up with was about $1100 and change for 7days all incl....well...thinking about it..I can name a dozen places for fun that's less expensive...seriously..you are talking about $2000 with expenses here...can anyone tip me with some info..how/where...
I also checked with "The Last Minbute Club", but they have only Airfares I believe. There are a few good deals on plane tickets, however, when I land there I have no hotel and no room...So, what should I do to get this trip going...lets say I found an airfare for a $521 G.Total with tax (round trip)....what then after I land

3. go to "club rio" (5mins from) downtown
4. rent a "casa particular" once you've got a handle on the scene ($20usd/night)

Was in Varadero last year with 3 other guys and we took advantage of the women 3 or 4 nights.. 1 night in Havana.
Expect to pay 40-100 U.S.. You are not allowed to bring them back to your hotel.. You will get about 1 hour with them and they will try and get you off as fast as possible..
The bars are full of SP's and they are all over you to the point it is aggravating. The overall experience is brutal.. SP's in Toronto are far better.
Thailand is the place to go for good rates and true GFE.. (24Hours for about 50.00 US and they will even fold and pack your bags when you leave.)

although everyone's experience's differ, i would say that the "cuba" SP scene is well worth the trip.

in Havana, we were able to bring the girls back to the hotel by way of paying the security guard/bellhop $20usd - this not only got us the girls into the hotel but also got us additional room for the evening (if you didn't want the girl in your room).

the other lodging alternative is something they call a "casa particular" which is basically a private residence offering suites for rent ($20usd/night) - the girls know where to go so there is no need for you to make prior arrangements.

we found the club scene (in havana) to be very good overall - the girls are definately argressive, but in a freindly way where it wasn't uncomfortable.

the scene in the bar (club rio) is very much like picking up chics in Toronto - only they come up to you. the girls we enjoyed were w/ us in the club for a good 3hours before the subject of money came up - at which point we agreed on $50usd each for the entire night.

we found the SP club scene in Veradero to be a waste of time. limited selection and generally not worth it.

if you like women with the latin flavor - Cuba is the place to go.

What ever you do, make sure you get a five star resort otherwise you'll be eating pork and chicken 3 times/per while you are there. Also, make sure you keep $20USD with you otherwise Fidel, won't let ya leave his country!!

As for the girls, they love tourists!! Be careful, you don't let one latch onto you while your there. They'll want to be you GF for the duration of your trip.

This might not be so bad! It might be fun to have a week long "meaningful" relationship with good sex and a local to act as tour guide.

I have been to Cuba...it was okay. My expectations were a little higher I suppose. I hear wonderful things about Costa Rica though...does any one have first hand experience?

Cuban Women

I was in Cuba a couple of years ago but was unable to take advantage of the local SPs due to the company I was keeping on the trip. I was in Veradero and Havanna. The one thing that struck me was that most of the obvious SPs in both Havanna and Veradero(very few), were had very dark skin tone which is not my bag. There were exceptionally beautiful women on the island with lighter skin tone that looked very Spanish - but they did not seem to be part of the SP crowd. Am I correct?

I am working on getting back to Cuba this winter.

We (my wife and I) are going to be there in March, luckily she is bi, and we will be looking for women to join us for some threeway fun, if anyone has advice to pass on in this respect, it would be appreciated.

cafe jazz is also an excellent place to meet the " lady's of the evening". Its across the street from the Melia cohiba hotel.
OH, the food there is excellent, and the service of the wait staff is impecible.

I have been to Cuba a few times and unfortunately the situation in some cities is not very good for the girls. I was just sitting on the beach talking to a girl, the local cops came by and fined her for communicating with a foreigner.
In one city, the girl I was spending time with had to walk ahead of me so no-one knew we were together. After 1 or 2 warnings, the girls face jail time for prostitution and Cuban jails are pretty nasty.
In Havana and Varadero, the cops seem to turn a blind eye, while smaller cities they are more on the girls' case.
A few years ago, the Pope made a visit and said he was unhappy with the level of prostitution, and if Castro did not do something he risked losing money from the Church. Castro then declared that any girl seen with a tourist would be considered a prostitute and dealt with accordingly.
So, pick your destination accordingly, I have been stuck in a hotel 45 mins and $50US away from the nearest town. Not very pleasant when you are looking for company. I ended up leaving the all inclusive and taking a casa particolar for my last 3 nights.

If anyone could help me with a few questions I have re: Cuba, it would be greatly appreciated.
1. what kind of smokes do they sell there, American, Canadian etc. (not into cigars)
2. How do I stay in touch with Canada? (cell phone) We have 3 children, and want to be contacted if anything arises at home.
3. to rent a car, or not to rent a car, that is the question...

I may have more questions, but if you could help with these first that would be great.
