I'm going to organize a Terb party for Hobbyist and SPs. Where should the venue be?

There is The X club in Mississauga. Close to all the favourite Strip Clubs, decent hotels near by too.

Lots of parking for what it's worth, but I imagine Transit at night would be a problem.

Don't most people join TERB so that they can share information about the hobby anonymously?

I admit that I find it counterintuitive when TERB members organize face to face events.

I understand why agencies or MPs might want to organize an event. It's one of the cheaper advertising options available to them. I'm just not sure why TERB members would want to show up. Sure, we can all dream about "free samples" at such an event, but that just doesn't happen.

A few years ago, out of curiosity, I went to a SC that was holding a TERB event. It was fairly easy to pick out the SPs and MPAs who were attending, and almost as easy to pick out the TERB members. However, it took me about 10 seconds to realize that I had seen what there was to be seen, and there was no upside in identifying myself, even if I would only be using my TERB handle.

Despite more liberal attitudes in our society, there is still nothing to be gained by identifying yourself as a hobbyist.

I wouldn't show up for "free samples", but meeting people at these events is a fun experience. I like seeing women I've been intimate with in social situations, and it's a good way to check out potential ladies as well.

The Terb party at Midway was the best.

And Steeles Royal Massage Party back few years ago at the same Midway SC was very very good too.

Mirage Sports and Entertainment brought the "A Team" and put on a free buffet. I still remember being approached by Quebecois Tiffany.

Saw this today... You could add a little friendly competition to the party, depending on the venue... I love to sing, but not sure I could make it through a song. I could picture some interesting variations on this game.

Privacy has a price. I don't know about most people but I can run into people I know at restaurants in the downtown core or colleagues at other non-private venues like a bar.
Way too close for comfort for something of this size.

I definitely wouldn't attend if it was that open to civilians, doubt most SPs would. Strip clubs are a bit more discreet, as an alternative to a hotel, if people don't want to pay.

Why not Oasis? It's a private adult club - you can do what you like there. Bar prices seem reasonable, and there's lots of room for socializing, etc.

Even if no sex was allowed on site it is still illegal to communicate and this may make Oasis a bawdy house

Now if prostitution was legal, Oasis still might not want the reputation

Oasis and other swinger clubs turn a blind eye to the sex trade happening on their premises if done discreetly. It probably pisses off many legitimate people who aren't paying while others welcome the pros.

As an update : I have contacted Oasis and New Locomotion (Stripclub where Xmas get together was held) waiting back to hear from them.

I think a pub is a good idea because you're less likely to be thrown out for singing Billy Idol songs.

Oasis? Are there any parking? How much it costs for parking? Will Oasis charge a rental? How much each person has to pay to chip in for rental?

New Locomotion got free parking and TTC-able. No rental and no covers. Not bad.

Personally I think Midway is the best. Two of the very best Terb parties were held there and inside they got six different VIP lounge areas for major individual sponsor party areas and the middle sitting area for common mingle area. The only problem is the building is undergoing expansion construction so the parking lot is a mess.
