I'll suggest employing many thousands of the unemployed as C-19 rule enforcement officers. Get people back to work & kill the virus at the same time via enforcement. Kill two birds with one stone. Maybe even start with $1000 fines for first offences, or arrest & jail the covidiots. Hotels could be used for jailing purposes if the "accommodations" become full elsewhere. That could put hotel staff back to work rather than receiving free government payouts for doing nothing.

It's your kind the rule enforcement officers will be employed to control.

Yeah, humans don't follow their own rules 100% of the time because "to err is human". That includes you & other "holier than thou" hypocrites.

"Police increase patrolling in Australia's COVID-19 hotspot

MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Police in Australia's coronavirus hotspot state of Victoria stepped up patrolling on Saturday as hundreds of people in the city of Melbourne breached stringent lockdown restrictions and flocked to beaches on the warmest weekend in months.

Under the restrictions, nearly five million people in Melbourne, Victoria's capital, may exercise or socialise outdoors for a maximum of two hours a day, but must stay close to home. People must wear masks in public places.

But television and social media footage showed crowds, many people without masks, at some of Melbourne's beaches as temperatures soared ahead of summer in the southern hemisphere.

"A number of fines were issued to people who breached directions .... and Victoria Police will be conducting increased patrols of popular public spaces this weekend," police said in a statement.

Fines for not wearing masks reach A$200 ($143) and for breaching public health orders are more than A$1,600.

Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews said the behaviour of the beach-goers was "unacceptable".

"Spending time at the beach without a mask, without social distancing now, will just mean that you won't get to go to the beach for all of summer," Andrews said at a televised briefing.

State officials said eight people had been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours and three more people died. The numbers have been going steadily down after reaching more than 700 in new daily cases at their peak in July.

Melbourne has been under a strict lockdown for months, with the measures set to remain in place until the average number of new daily cases over a two-week window falls below five. On Saturday it was 12.

Victoria, Australia's second-most populous state accounts for 90% of national COVID-19 deaths. Australia, with 893 fatalities, has fared far better than many other developed countries.

We could dress them in matching brown shirts, nifty hats and supply them with the semi flexible 98cm truncheons to help persuade the more obstinate among us.

Wear a mask to protect those most vulnerable from dying as a result of - your - C-19 infection. IOW wear a mask so - you - don't murder others.

I second this motion of hiring by law officers or any type of enforcement officers for licenses issued to enforce the rules.
One of the reasons some establishments (restaurants, bars, strip clubs, etc) were able to break the rules is because there was not enough manpower to be able to enforce these properly so some businesses got away with breaking them.
Businesses should certainly be fined a lot more than $1,000, I'd say start at $10,000 and increase the fine if it's a repeat offense.

I'd suggest forced solitary confinement - quarantine - for those rebels who refuse to obey mandatory safety rules re the wearing of masks, social distancing etc.

You are morally responsible to not murder others.

Wear a mask to protect those most vulnerable from dying as a result of - your - C-19 infection. IOW wear a mask so - you - don't murder others.

If you can't even do a simple easy little thing like put on a mask to protect others & society, do you even deserve to have a life or live.

As it's said "Karma's a bitch".

If the government tells people they can't work, they have a duty to cover their expenses while they don't work.
Yes, they should.

But what's stopping anyone from working, e.g. escorting, panhandling, begging (or offering to do odd jobs) door to door, being a criminal, etc? Are you not free?

Sure, there may be - consequences - for some of those things, but then you'll have you're rent & food bills, etc, paid by the gov while you sit around all day watching TV!

An all expenses holiday at the governments expense!

So, you see, the gov ends up "covering their expenses" in the end, anyway ;

And - you - make them do it ;

You're in charge.

You don't have to sit on your ass all day long, with your thumb up your bung-hole, doing nothing.

Get to work!

LOL.

If you don't like being subject to the present government, living off the land in the woods or wilderness, etc, is always an option ;

Sweden also awaits you with open arms & French kisses!

LOL.
