Create a charitable trust fund that invests the principal and gives the profits to various charities.
There are only two ways money can be used
1) spending it
2) making more money with it

I would pay off the mortgage of my closest friend and the rent for 1 yr of my other friend......
give them something else like a car; sibling as well
I would keep perhaps 350k or more; give some to the charity of some good doctors I know; and some amount to sick kids research dept

Giving money to young women is a lost leader. But if you didn't earn it who cares.
I would invest most of it. Give part of it to St John Ambulance, more people getting CPR training. Then in my self satisfaction I would blow the rest on a young hottie that looks like Jessica Chastain.

I would look for people who naturally have the gift to inspire but little means to reach their potential, and provide enablers.
