Suggestions...in order of intensity:

No coffee after lunch.

1 hour workout at gym, 4 times a week. (or exercise of your choice - you have to break a sweat)

Glass of milk 30 minutes before bedtime. No TV or laptop in bedroom, utter silence.

Sex.

Benadryl.

Melatonin.

Zopiclone. (very powerful though - I chip them into 6 parts, and 1 part is good enough for me)

Like me you're f**ked... yet not like me at all...

Any ideas?
Don't lay in bed trying to sleep for more than 30 minutes. It's easy to toss and turn the night away. Instead, get up, get a glass of water. Turn on a bedside lamp and read a book. Turn on the boob tube.. Anything to get the fact that you can't sleep off your mind.

Along with wetnose's suggestions, getting outside during the day helps as well. I enjoy going for a walk after dinner.

hire a lady to come for an outcall nighty, give you the best sex of your life, turn over and pass out. (this wont work if you have a wife)

My work keeps me up at odd hours sometimes, and my schedule is frequently changing. When you have work like that, your internal clock gets thrown for a loop. So far I've stayed clear of drugs, and I find that going for a walk/jog a couple hours before I try to sleep works well for me.

Once every two weeks or so I seem to have one of "those" nights where my mind races and I cannot sleep. I get hot. I get cold. I get sore. It really maddening. So I take a zoplicone. One little powder blue pill knocks me out for the night. Nothing wrong with modern chemistry in my book. As long as I don't need them every night re:addicted I think I'll be fine. Once every 14-15 nights isn't too bad.

Try listening to a good guided relaxation or meditation CD. Also try to stop watching TV, using the computer, etc, an hour before bedtime. A hot shower before bed also helps me relax. And yeah, a prescription sleeping pill once in awhile, but I try to avoid those if I can as they can become addictive.

The OP is not asking about what to do to get to sleep, he is asking what should he do if he has been doing some sort of all niter and then had to function through the day with ZERO sleep.

Drink milk throughout the day, it will help with stabilizing your blood sugar. Coffee will help too. Don't take any sort of power naps if you can avoid it, it will make u more out of it for the rest of the day, and it might fuck you up for getting to sleep on time once you get home. If you can avoid it, don't drive. Take notes if you are in meetings, otherwise you won't remember details later.
