If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

What you must consider are the consequences of changing history. Nobody knows how the world would change. If I went back in time and killed Hitler before he came to power nearly everyone would applaud but by doing so I would disappear since there is no way my father (in the Canadian army) would have met my mother (in the British army). WWII made it happen. Then again millions of people would survive and they would produce children who would never exist in our current world. Quite mind-boggling.
Or, indeed, if everything is destined to happen, and not everything nor anything you do can change it in any way. It is quite a prospect, though, isn't it?

Xoxo,

Olivia

I already have three superpowers*, why would I want any more?

*Glad you asked:
1. The ability to forget a birthday or anniversary, no matter how important
2. The ability to attract plastic like a magnet attracts metal (as long as I am barefoot and the plastic is shaped like a LEGO)
3. The ability to appear more charming and articulate with each drink I have (but only to myself, of course).

Very amusing abilities!!

He should deserve that superpower if the priority is given to
fixing ED for the elderly.

The only one of here who actually deserves a superpower apparently! :biggrin1:
Indeed. Most of us are on about selfish powers. Good to think about the vulnerable. Says a lot about your character as well.

You leveled up (8-bit Mario music)

Just because one has acquired the supernatural power of
healing the sick doesn't necessarily follow that he'd always
use it selflessly. Even Jesus, a good guy he was, refused to
heal the daughter of the Syrophoenician woman until the
mother begged him to have pity for her like she was a dog
feeding on scraps under the table of the master. I too would
use that superpower to help others as much as I can. But I
certainly would find a chance to use it with condition for
my benefit.

Nothing wrong with using it to your benefit as long as you're not exploiting people. You gotta be able to sustain yourself somehow; living humbly from the proceeds you earn seems ok to me...living in a mansion and driving a Bentley would be kinda sketchy though.

This thread has convinced me that superpower would be abused just like
power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely in the real world.

The invisible man would visit every female bathroom
and change room he passed by.

The guy capable of mind control would pick the chick
who had rejected his advances to be his first victim.

The mind-reading guy would become an opionated and
judgmental asshole by being the self-appointed
whistleblickiower sticking his nose into other people's business.

Teleportation. It would make commuting a breeze plus I could just 'port into the SP I was visiting's apartment, condo or hotel room.
