BYU is ranked #3, without him doubt if they are top 25. 6'2" that may be the drawback but he can shoot lights out. 4 years @ BYU so he's mature.
Raps need a point guard BAD!

Hey just posted what the Mock Drafts are saying ... I do agree with you cause Stephan Curry should have been drafted higher then he was and Fredette seems like a simliar type of player ..
Not arguing, just giving you my reasons for liking him.

Kyrie Irving PG out of Duke - probably going to the Cavs if they win the lottery.

Sullinger PF - Ohio State - you'll see a lot of him in the tourney as the Buckeyes should go deep into the tournament if not win it all.

Derrick Williams PF - Arizona - I havent seen Arizona play this season - hes been getting some hype.

Enes Kanter - PF - Kentucky - dont know all the details but this guy is an intersting case because NCAA ruled him permanantly ineligible as he took money back home in Turkey to play pro ball there. His parents and Kentucky tried to argue the money was given for school reasons only and not as a salary to play pro ball. He sits on Kentucky's bench for all their games or at least he did while he signed with them and appealed the NCAA decision.

He is 18, 6 foot 11 and like 280 lbs and he is European so I can see Colangelo screwing up a top pick for a European - please refer to Bargniani.

I (like many) felt Curry was too small to compete defensively. His O is deadly though.

Sadly I haven't found the time to watch too many games this winter.

The trend these days is to go to school for one year and then declare eligible for NBA draft. Both Irving and Sullinger are freshmen. Williams is an exception he's a sophomore. I think Raps will do well getting any of these guys as they all project to be impact players.

March Madness is always my favourite time of the year. Can't wait for it to begin, even if my team isn't in it this year. I'll be cheering for Texas or Syracuse but I think Kansas will take it all. There's no stopping those Morris Bros.

There is no longer a "Play in Game" - it is replaced by the original name of "First Round"

There is the first round which consists of two games on Tuesday and Wednesday (two 16 vs 16 matchups) and the last four at larges (likely playing for a 12 seed).

The 12 seed games could include teams like Colorado, USC, Michigan St, Georgia, UAB, Memphis, St. Mary's.

I've had the good fortune to have coached and coached against several of these young men. Hopefully, they finish school, enjoy the game and use the experience to their benefits. Jay Triano's nephew is in this group. Absent from the list of Canadians is Minnesota Golden Gopher's Devoe Joseph, who was suspended earlier for team infractions, but it arguably their best player. His younger brother Cory is starting for Texas. Gonzaga, New Mexico have 3 or more Canadians on their teams.

It's always fun to watch the cinderella teams get a few rounds deep.

Yes it is.

First year for this series of, forgive me, 'play-in' games. Seems the NCAA liked the idea of the 'play-in' game they decided to expand it to all four brackets.

And yes, they now call it the first round.

You're not forgiven. Hopefully, you're rootin' for Texas as Tristan Thompson is from your neck of the woods. I'll wait til Sunday to give you the gears on another comment you made.

Don't forget, the CIS Final 8 Men's Basketball is this weekend.

Semi Finals Saturday.
Trinity Western against UBC
Saskatchewan against Carleton

Consolation Round
Lakehead against Acadia
Concordia against Dalhousie

The only upset in the 1/4 finals was TWU over Lakehead.

Did anyone catch that Notre Dame-Louisville game last night? ND was up by 14 at half and Lousiville came back in 2nd half to tie and send to OT where they won. Great game. I think both these teams could go deep in the NCAA tourney. Wow the Big East is stacked this year!

the Memorial Cup is here this year..........it is the hockey equivalent of the NCAA March Madness, except without the slick hype machine.
