Saw on the news not too long ago that they are changing this. They are removing all signs that say "walk left, stand right". This is due to some injuries from escalators.
Yeah I heard about one on the news: Some blond chick passed out from exhaustion after getting caught trying to go down on the up escalator.......

Yes, the new politically correct reality is stand left, stand right, because idiots might fall down. Now that they have changed the official policy, it will only take one self-righteous stander to clog the whole station.

I only drive, I can't stand the TTC, and 90% of it is inconsiderate behaviour, just having to sit and take it while selfish morons behave inappropriately. If you could be banned for being selfish, it would be a lot better. But it would never happen.

You forgot...

The morons with 2 feet thick napsaks who cant judge their distance and keeps smacking me with it everytime they turn.

Or my favorite... The young/old chinese women who elbows/shoves me in the ribs in order to get on/off the train first. I dont get why these people are sooo rude? I'm waiting on the platform and when the train stops and i'm at the side waiting to let the people off all of a sudden from the back of the line some chinese lady bud's through everyone and try's to get on..wtf

The entire platform of people have parted a walkway for the peps getting off and one lone chinese lady goes against the current and pushes her way up stream onto the train...lol

And of course just like I stated in another thread after the fact they look at you like "What....why are you looking at me that way. I fought to get on first you should'of done the same so dont blame me"

TTC can be great if there is no one on the train, bus or street car.

Otherwise the more people get on the more rudeness you encounter.
And people must really learn to cover their cough and sneeze, this is why people are always getting sick cause some jerk decides they want to forget to cover their mouth, when sneezing.
I agree with the back pack statements they are annoying and for some reason i feel that people with back packs if standing behind me tend to lean on me, so i've taken up leaning back with more force usually they get the point after a while and take it off.....I assume it gets all to heavy for them.
The other thing is when people block the escolators with their carrier bags you know the ones with wheels. Now I have one of those that is always heavy and full, but when I go up and esalator i always put it on the step in front of me so people who want to race up or down the escalator can do so.

And I absolutely detest it when someone decides to take up a perfectly good seat on the bus, street car, or train with their bag! Put it on the floor please, and thank you.
Don't make someone go up to you and ask if they can sit there have some form of consideration.

Okay I've vented. Thank you!

To those of you who drive a car your awsome, and to those of us forced to take TTC everywhere.....Good Luck to us all cause we are going to need it.

I note that a lot of people now are pushing to get in and out the subway compartments but I don't blame them because it was those stupid subway drivers who closed the doors too quickly regardless whether or not everyone had safely got in and out. It happens even at the busiest stations such as Bloor, Dundas, Queen and Union.
