I don't know if it is the best, but Sicilian Ice Cream on College (at Montrose?) is excellent... and their Spumoni (my favorite) is simply delicious!

One of the best ice creams I ever had was years ago, during a summer vacation with my parents in Italy, that was served outdoors at the Piazza San Marco in Venice. It was a creamy gelato served in cold silver chalices. *Sigh*

Has anyone ever seen GRAPE flavor ice cream or ORANGE flavor ice cream in an ice cream shoppe in Toronto?

there used to be an ice cream shoppe on the westway just down of lawrence all the way to Martingrove. it was a plaza called the westway. He used to serve grape flavored ice cream, along with orange flavor and a variety of others. Was amazing. i always spent an hour to get there. had at least three cones every time. When he shut down, couldn't find grape flavored ice cream anywhere. I think he even had cotton candy and some other crazy flavors...

if anyone knows an ice cream shoppe that serves GRAPE flavor ice cream, please let me know. Thanks.

I never remembered that ice cream shop but know the plaza.

Try finding Kawartha Dairy ice cream. I think they have orange and grape last I recall.

I will get some Kawartha Dairy ice cream this long weekend in Gravenhurst, hopefully.

Once had fresh peach ice cream at a peach orchard in Georgia. It was out of this world!

For all you Kawartha Diary fans, next time you're in the Peterborough area, I strongly suggest you check out Country Smith ice-cream, http://www.countrysmithicecream.ca/about_us.htm - I don't know of too many places that sell it besides the main store/factory, but it's amazingly good.

The name is a bit confusing, since it's named after Smith township in Peterborough county, but whatever.
