I guess in euroweenie commie land they don't teach about how Mike saved Ontario from the unwashed socialist hordes. Typical .
Yep, we did not learn about him in school. Was he a mohican?

We read coopers books.

but they've revised to between 2 and 4.
I wan't some of the shit that these forcasters are smoking. It started just a little north of the city around 5 and has not stoped. Absolutley no chance there is 2-4 cm. It's more like 10-15 easily and blowing about 50km/hr.

I just took a walk to the store down the street. Not fit for man nor beast out there. I could not even tell that the plows went by and where I shovelled 4 hours ago or so. Shitty, shitty night. I think I'll wait until tomorrow to shovel again.

Ottawa is gonna end up with between 50 -60cm ..... but it's blowing so hard that a lot of my snow is next door or somewhere else *lol*

only real problem is that I have about a 6 foot drift (and growing) right near the front steps so the paper boy won't be able to deliver the paper .... oh well, he probably won't have any papers to deliver until noon as the Sun office is @ an hour from here

I'm not even gonna open the door until it stops sometime Sunday morning . I haven't been able to get out the back door since Dec......

I don't ever recall seeing road conditions like this in Toronto. I had to drive south on DVP today around 6 pm and it was absolutely snow-covered. No lane markings, no black asphalt - just a whole pile of snow everywhere. But visibility was adequate and there were hardly any cars out there so driving was actually OK. (Slow, but OK.)

Calgary was up around 12C today.

But Montreal is getting hammered. The airport out there closed just before 9 pm. Even the international flights were cancelled which is quite unusual. People are reporting that their condo buildings are shaking and Environment Canada is reporting winds of up to 100 km/h in addition to snow that's falling about twice the rate it's coming down here in Toronto.

Further east in the Maritimes it's coming down even more!

Drove from Toronto to Hamilton yesterday evening, roads were completely snowcovered. However traffic was doing a sane 50-ish klicks for the most part.

Although I had one SUV come flying by doing a good deal more than the rest of us. My wife and I wondered how he could have much control.

That question was answered about 5 minutes later as we found him way down in the ditch. At least he didn't take anyone else with him. Bye-bye dumbass!

It makes me laugh how most idiots who drive SUV's think they are invincible & cn drive through anything!... it is just a matter of time before they realize that once they hit a patch of ice, they are in the same boat as the rest of us and if they need to stop quickly, they can stop no faster than the rest of us!

It's pretty cool here -- lots of snow. Thank goodness we bought a freezer last year and, as such, don't need to go out for the next few days.

I wished for lots of snow this year, as I do every year. I wished for snow from late November to mid-April -- and it looks like I'm getting it. (For once.)

Every year, I wish for this, but this is the first year I've got it.

My husband tells me that, next year, I'm to wish for more money and a beautiful new neighbour who likes to sunbathe nude.

..c..

I never got a paper (Sun ). Of course there was no way the paper boy could have gotten to the front door before 11am. I went to the store and they had no Sun but had the Citizen. Seems the Sun can't afford snow tires for their trucks since lowering their prices *LOL*

Did your husband specify the gender of the neighbour? Might end up being a case of him being careful what he wishes for.... :p
